Glad this could be worked out, but honestly, this feels like it did not need to happen publicly in any way. It caused fans to rush to judgment on either side and caused a bit of a mess.

Hopefully the lesson here for ktown4u is that they seek clarification or finish negotiation before making any public statements and that Hanteo is clearer about what they’re requiring for validation – and that K-pop fans wait just a bit more before putting up opinions.

  2. wow 😳 imo this screams backtracking (presumably after lawyers got involved), but i don’t really care what went down or why as long as ktown can do their business and hanteo will include their sales 🤷‍♀️

  3. My wish for 2025 is that every company even remotely related to K-pop starts handling their shit in private

I don’t really buy the fact that they’d speak out to the extent they did over a “misunderstanding” on their behalf, unless they truly are that unprofessional. At the end of the day as long as the sales get counted now who really cares.

someone found out questioning hanteo was not gonna be great for their business lol people buy there to chart on hanteo.

  6. Instant capitulation. Now with backdoor NDAs your personal data will be hawked to the mighty hanteo. How much power does hanteo hold. Another indication that we need a decentralized, open chart tracking system.

  7. I don’t care about charts and whatever, but I have to say that Koreans really seem to know how to apologize.

I’m used to “Sorry if you got offended.”

  8. So as I thought they buckled. Lmfaoooooooo a lot of sales data gonna look sus after this gets fixed
