Hello. We are the parents of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. This account has been temporarily created out of necessity to represent our position in the dispute with HYBE.
Since we had no official platform to communicate our stance, we have repeatedly tried to share the facts by conducting direct interviews with various media outlets or by reaching out to journalists we know. While we are grateful that some outlets reported our words accurately, they were very few. We also attempted to distribute an official statement through an agency, but faced many difficulties, such as misleading headlines that distorted our message.
While the members’ statements are either misrepresented, framed negatively, or only covered minimally, HYBE and ADOR continue to release hundreds of articles daily through multiple media platforms, including online portals. These articles not only fail to undergo the standard journalistic practices of fact-checking and the right to rebuttal but also spread false information or solely represent HYBE and ADOR’s stance.
[Unfortunately, we have received reports that, ahead of the upcoming injunction lawsuit, HYBE and ADOR are once again distributing unverified rumors to various journalists in an attempt to spread false narratives about the members. This has led us to create this account.]
We understand that this prolonged dispute may be exhausting for many, and we sincerely apologize for that. However, this account will primarily be used to share information that the members themselves cannot directly communicate. As their only spokespersons at this time, we urgently need a platform to correct misinformation and present the facts. We ask for your understanding.

Really looking forward to seeing them debunk the obviously malicious mediaplay, it’s about time!
Time to lock in people. This one’s gonna be a doozy.
Ahhh man, this whole thing is so weird. I think the odds of the girls coming out of this as winners are beyond slim, but fingers crossed.
Much needed move. There is a huge power and resource imbalance between NJ’s side and their ex-label’s side. I can only name two media outlets that are willing to share NJ’s side of the story and actually question their former label’s actions. We’ve seen in real time how HYBE floods Naver with 150-200 articles with defamatory headlines, while NJ’s side can’t even get their story published. With this, they do not have to depend on media outlets; instead they will drop their statements on SNS and let them be spread and heard on their own. That’s how they can overcome immense imbalance.
I am glad the parents decided to open an IG to debunk defamation and slander. Shows their firm resolution and union in this despite all malicious attempts against them and their children.

I am wishing them well but this hopefully has the girls’ attorneys approval. Fans, non-fans and Knets can easily take statements out of context and start spinning their own conclusions. I must be the only one who believes a gag order for all parties should be in place and let the evidence brought forward in court to determine this case.
this seems like it’s gonna drag on for months. Is this so the parents can directly fight Dispatch?
I truly understand how these parents must feel. My dad and mom would most likely do the same thing because they are my biggest supporters. But won’t this hinder them in court?
If this is their move, then it means Dispatch is dropping something soon
Parents are probably fed up about the misinformation of them being brainwashed by MHJ which is legit stupid. Let’s go MomJeans/DadJeans!
Fighting!!!
Yo, this new ig ain’t just the parents talking, there’s definitely a legal team backing them up. Hybe’s next move is textbook: paint the parents as greedy and overstepping. Watch for the usual “they made unreasonable demands” leaks or the classic “some parents are being difficult, others are reasonable” to make it seem like there’s infighting.
They’ll push the “they’re just after money” angle and throw in some guilt tripping like “this could hurt the girls’ future” Classic blame shifting and character assassination. Whether the public eats it up? Let’s wait and see.
It’s insane that everything that comes from NewJeans’ side met with an unbearable level of skepticism, but everything released by HYBE is received as undiluted truth, like they have no incentive to lie or misrepresent the facts. They have no incentive to try and devalue the girls and plant stories about them. A big conglomerate has no news sources supporting them, they don’t have a big PR firm working behind them, their statements don’t receive 4x the amount of coverage than the girls.
None of the journalists who cover the HYBE side are biased, but the ones covering the girls, oh, they have no integrity. The girls and their parents seeking fair coverage make them emotional and deceptive – but HYBE/Ador and every entertainment organization making their sides known is necessary and informative. They genuinely care for the girls and want to “save” them. Because these organizations have always put the needs of idols over the company’s monetary gain. Of course, there is no conflict of interest when HYBE is a board member of these organizations. According to Ador, HYBE/Dispatch/Source, and Belift are third parties that cause the girls damages, but Ador cares about them so much that their best advice was to do nothing and stay in the good graces of the media, and bunnies already reported it to the police? HYBE/Ador did nothing wrong and Newjeans are just dumb, emotional, spoiled brats that has no reason to behind their actions.
If I’m tired, imagine the girls and their families.
Good move by the parents. Hybe trying to destroy their girls – they cannot be the one to just listen from the sidelines.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m worried
i just want this mess to be overrrrr as someone who adores nwjns, illit & le sserafim 😭
This shit can go off-rails real quick.
do any of the parents have a professional background in PR? this might be a bit too big to be freestyling right now 😭
Let’s not forget the parents were also affected by the media as well. They were essentially accused of tampering too really do not claim to know anything about the legal side of this, but it seems to be like that aside from protecting their daughters, the parents might have a case of defamation for themselves as well?
You know the media play from Hybe is bad/corrupt when the parents have to come out and create their communication source. I pray nwjns&co sue for defamation cuz with how decisive the claims of miscommunication and abuse are Hybe will have to move into a smaller rented building.
(Sharing my old comments that were downvoted in that other sub, just to give some moral courage to fans)
NJ has broken the exclusive contract because they think it is within their rights to break away based on the mistreatment. According to them, they don’t have to go to court to file for termination. Ador is taking them to court to finalise the validity of this termination clause. Now it is on the courts to decide if NJ can terminate unilaterally or not. You and I don’t know if NJ terminated the contract “correctly” or not.
Personally, I don’t care much about legality so much because people should be able to leave their workplace if they feel mistreated, but I guess it’s different for company stans and those who are suckers for contract obligations.
NJ has given hybe more profit than the investment but the company is still not letting them go. This is a top group struggling to leave, so just imagine the plight of nugu groups who want to quit.
Once upon a time k-pop companies were singing artists for 13-15 years. Thanks to TVXQ, who risked their careers, the maximum contract period was capped at 7. Soon this 7-year standard will be seen as unfair in a few years. Just because something is legal does not mean it is moral.
Historically k-pop contracts are not in favour of artists. Signing a slave contract doesn’t mean the slave contract is not wrong to begin with. To miss this historicity and disregard the whole context of exploitative k-pop industry norms just because you dislike five girls is stupidity.
And about the “mistreatment”, one doesn’t have to get hospitalised to claim mistreatment. There is a reason why ostracisation is considered bullying. People think the “ignore her” comment is a tantrum but imagine listening to a company senior loudly telling your peers to ignore you. It is not just one isolated comment, it is about how NJ is seen as the “other”. They were also not greeted back by BSH even when they were in the same elevator. Even if this behaviour is not harassment, it is still rude.
NJ had a good team, they did not have an impossible schedule and were paid timely because MHJ managed them well. Abuse is so normalised in K-pop that being treated normally is seen as “spoilt”. There is a reason NJ and their parents insist that MHJ treated them well because they saw how source was treating the trainees.
Honestly, I don’t have anything against LSF but as a fan, i would be concerned about how LSF girls suffered from health issues, as shown in their OWN documentary. I also see how BeLift lab overworks enhypen, the boys literally faint at the airport due to exhaustion. That awful company did not protect Illit against the hate train. Considering these things, MHJ took care of NJ, as she should have. No wonder the girls and many Ador staff members are loyal to her.
I am not enough savy in the legal and or department to know if this is a good move or not, but I guess they are following legal advice.
What makes me sad it that Hybe/Ador have been so stupid to waste all the success the girls could have continued to have if just let them continue to work instead of sabotaging them
Also to makes me sad all the hate for the girls that I have seen in other Kpop fansubs, calling the girls spoiled and such 🙁
oof looks like they are crashing and burning. No one left to turn to but public opinion.
finally i hope they can get they gurls right too bc they out of line with mhj
Not sure what opponents think the alternative here is. If they can’t provide their version of events without it being distorted by HYBE sympathetic media, where else can they go? They haven’t even said anything aside from announcing the account yet and people are spiralling over it. Maybe wait until something actually happens? lol
I don’t follow up on kpop but I keep seeing this stuff pop up from kpop uncensored subreddit which is why I’m here. The comments there felt disgusting because no matter how much I read up on it I don’t see how anyone genuinely is siding with an exploitative company?
It’s a good way to avoid their message getting manipulated anymore. At this stage, a clear and direct attitude is enough.
Let them cook 👩🍳
