Probably related to the Tencent sale deal – we’ll sell our SM stocks at lower price, and in return help us in our China venture.

So that’s why they sold their sm share to tencent.Maybe they got some backdoor benefit from it.But I didn’t expect it cuz hybe didn’t seem that much interest in Chinese market. We also getting Hybe India soon.

wait. but where are the users and their thinly veiled sinophobia cautioning against chinese involvement in kpop companies and saying sm artists were going to get backlash because tenecent acquired a single digit share in their company???
or the ones who kept floating that ~chinese investors~ must be involved with new jeans? the ones who were laughing and calling new jeans, New Jing Ping?

China is actually letting the k-cultural blockade up that’s wild. Brave new world. Kpop will have a time competing with c-entertainment industry so it’ll be interesting how much market share they can sheer off.

In a span of less than a year, HYBE expanded to Latin America, Europe, India, and now China. ANZ has hope, I believe it.

Big news for Hybe. Not sure if all of Kpop is back or just Hybe being allowed in due to SM stock sold to Tencent. I guess time will tell.
