im surprised this song isnt as popular as some of their other ones because highway 1009 is so freaking beautiful (especially here). i cant believe it took me this long to find such a masterpiece, even as a new engene

Highway 1009 is SO GOOD (i would say criminally underrated) but it’s not as mainstream as some of their other stuff unfortunately.
Glad it’s getting to new engenes. I’m not sure how similar the vibes are i think you’d like blossom by enhypen!
Did you know Heeseung produced Highway 1009, and all the members wrote the lyrics?! It’s their 1st track which is completely created by all the members.
I think what makes it so emotional is that you can hear in both the melody and lyrics their love for the fans. It’s such a pure grateful sort of love in song form and it feels so nice to be on its receiving end. It’s a simple but such a sweet melody, I can’t wait for more of Heeseung’s songs!
As it’s slow, it’s not as popular sadly, but I’m sure all engenes have a special place in their heart for Highway 1009.
Edit: forgot to add recs, Orange Flower gives me a similar warm fuzzy feeling, and Blossom is beautiful too as already mentioned
it’s so cutee it’s very heartwarming especially as it’s a song dedicated to engenes 🫶 it was definitely the first song of the album that stood out to me!
