imo this is meaningful because this is wayv’s first win primarily promoting a chinese song
i know wayv is from sm and people expect that to be an easy win on The Show but bc big bands is a (mostly) chinese album their numbers were very nerfed
1) their first day sales didn’t count bc their release wasn’t strategized for the tracking period
2) 0 SNS because no Korean MV
3) low broadcast because they were promoting in china instead
new fans were exposed to how tough it is slotting wayv into the kpop system bc of these types of issues. so i’m glad they managed to get a win for their best tt in awhile!
