We’re all excited by the release of SECRET but for now I wanted to imagine what IVE solo career could sound like!
Here is my take, curious about yours:
Wonyoung /
I can see a Nayeon sort of uplifting energetic pop track in between Twice and SNSD, something a bit like Genie.
Yujin /
I would love something a little hypnotic and electronic similar to Earthquake by Jisoo or the AESPA solo songs
Liz /
With those vocals she can pretty much do anything, maybe a power ballad like Either Way or something dramatic and beautiful like HWAA, the I-dle song.
Leeseo /
I think a rap dance track in the vein of Lisa or Aespa’s Dirty Work would suit her. Or a cold rnb track would be great with her tone and attitude (think NMIXX’s know About Me). I feel she could do many styles easily.
Gaeul /
I imagine a fun rap track, a little sultry and fierce. Kind of like Gnarly or Babymonster’s DRIP. More western influences for sure.
Rei /
She can be the most interesting soloist, I could see a hyperpop or bubble pop dance song kind of like Yena or Kep1er. A bit of J-pop influence for sure!

Naaah.. Gaeul obviously has a preference and it shows in her covers.. she’d probably do a city pop-esque sound.. something laid back and sentimental
I think Leeseo would go for a more cutesy concept like Kim Doah and Gaeul would do a Yukika style. with Wonyoung judging by her insta post dare I say she would do Ariana Grande-ESQ songs and maybe a charli xcx concept ik its off but ifykwim
I’m really curious about Rei! I think what she does might surprise us the most.
As for Gaeul, something laid-back, perhaps ballad/city pop type of music would suit her really well. The Chroma Drift cover she did recently has been on repeat for me.
Wonyoung, I can picture something fantasy-ish/ dreamy for her.
Leeseo, perhaps something cheerful, upbeat.
Liz, for her heavenly voice I’d have my money on something Taeyeon-like, maybe INVU type of songs.
Yujin- the most versatile of them all, she can do pretty much anything so kind of hard to predict. Personally would hope for a song with difficult choreography where she can show off her powerful dance moves.
wonyoung: eleven/love dive were her eras! i def see her doing that kind of chaebol girl crush concept!
rei/yujin: i have no idea… so versatile, they can pull off so many concepts!
gaeul: indie/city pop
leeseo: similar to wonyoung except more darker (i think may lily encompasses exactly what i expect; a dark queen concept that makes the best use of leeseo’s distinct vocal tone)
liz: either slower, vocal heavy songs or cute fun pop songs. shes also pretty versatile except her vocal tone is very distinct and sweet so i dont see a concept like may lily suiting her
Wonyoung: I see her doing something like ‘Celebrity’ or ‘Lilac’ by IU. Maybe something similar to Ariana Grande? Especially during her ‘Thank u, next’ era. I know she’s a fan of her and she’d do so well.
Yujin: Ngl, I can picture her going the R&B route. A good example of that is ‘B’rave ~ a song for Matilda’ by BILLLIE or ‘About Love’ by Red Velvet. I know she’s a big fan of R&B music, so this seems perfect for her.
Liz: Definitely something similar to Taeyeon. I feel like their vibes are REALLY similar and she would definitely be really successful.
Leeseo: Hmm. This one took awhile for me to think about. I definitely see her doing something really cutesy. For example, ‘SmartPhone’ or ‘U’ by Choi Yena. I think that screams Leeseo the most.
Gaeul: There’s a couple of songs that I feel she could definitely make her own feel and vibe to if she goes solo. For example, ‘You Don’t Know Me or ‘I Don’t Care’ by Ariana Grande. Definitely something fierce and strong.
Rei: Everything about Rei screams princess and classy. Maybe a little mixture of Choi Yena and Yukika? She gives me similar vibes to Leeseo.
