This captures this perfect mix of happiness and nostalgia that’s so precious, it’s so so good !!!! Plus it’s a 3+ minute song with a full bridge, it’s getting too rare these days 😭

  2. They are so cute! All the scenes of them dancing and laughing together really make me like the song even more (and I already loved it). There’s just something so nostalgic and endearing about them? I want to watch a coming-of-age drama and call my friends from high school now 😭

A full meal. Love how fluid are Haum’s dance moves, the bridge and Jiyu is full of charisma. All of them are.

    Excelent comeback.

the song did not disappoint after hearing the full studio version, i love the instrumentals and the bridge so much. video is really cute as well, the scenes at the lake are so fun and make you want go swimming. šŸ’ž

  5. Honestly maybe a 10/10, this is phenomenally good. Nostalgic and wistful retro synthpop songs always get me. This better be their breakout song, the musical quality is just majestic. They sound so fresh and Haum’s ethereal voice is particularly memorable.

Song is great. MV is amazing. I LOVE IT. idk why the mv lowkey made me emotional.

  7. moomoomilky1 on

The cinematography and color grading were very well done, the song itself is a really good summer time nostalgia song.

Also is that Jiyu with long hair at 2:26??

I just noticed the canada post box at the bike scene at [1:29, ](https://youtu.be/u5wMLWs6LSs?t=89)they probably filmed this in BC right?

This song’s really good, I hope it becomes a hit like I Do Me. KiiiKiii’s creative direction has been so good.

I ADORE the nostalgic coming of age vibes of the MV, did not disappoint at all. I love love the 80s vibes I thought the 80s synthpop trend died in 2020 but I’m glad they bought it back

Also I’m shocked that fans don’t like the choreography? I’m obsessed with it I love how energetic and fun it is, the 80s inspired moves are cute too. Someone said the choreo gives off them performing at their school’s talent show which I think is accurate and I love that

I will say I am shocked considering their whole concept is Y2K but I’m not complaining at all. I just listened to Strawberry Cheesegame and I like it a lot

  10. I’m shocked some people don’t like the choreo! It’s wild and fun and embody the spirit of the song even if it’s not “pretty”

  11. The MV is sooo beautiful it’s like a movie. And I love this song since the first time they performed it 😭

  12. Lancelot_123 on

It’s super safe, but i don’t care it’s fun. It’s been a really good rollout for this single

  13. Once again such a refreshing sound from them. There’s this almost addictive coziness with this one where you just feel right at home. Loved how cinematic it was throughout with all the settings and filters for them. Personally gave me an end of summer vibes which is fitting given the actual time of the year. This group is already so impressive with their concepts and music style this early in their career.

I don’t know much about them, but their mvs are therapy, nostalgia is hitting hard, i think the last was new jeans ditto era, when i felt like this….absolutely love this….

its enjoyable song….why am i feeling emotional!!

  15. lalala-lavieenrose on

this is just beyond magical omg……… i’ve had it stuck in my head since that show performance fancam and i’m so glad to hear it properly!! im actually obsessed

  16. Absolutely love it. A video coated in nostalgia and long summer evening vibes. The kind of video that makes you happy through the group being happy and having fun, like I Do Me.

  17. this song is cute T_T I really like this upbeat but kinda sad, nostalgic sound, such a perfect summer song

  18. FlimsyTie9109 on

I loved the song since they showed it in kcon and stage attack, and now finally i can listen to the official studio version!

And the mv is so beautiful, i loved the aesthetics and the scenes between the girls showing their friendship, and as other people said it has really a nostalgic feeling to it that pushes us into it. And i love the choreography in the end of the chorus with them basically really feeling it, living the moment and dancing happily in a more free way, really expressing themselves!

  19. KiiiKiii either really hits or miss for me and I’m glad to say that it hits . I’m also a sucker for synth sounds

  20. I’m feeling the mix of 80s and early 00s. There are definite Flash Dance vibes from the drums, vocals, and choreography.. their fashion is distinctly a mix as well. There’s even a small Risky Business reference in there. I’m liking all this for sure.

  21. CosmicJokeXD on

I love Kiiikiii. Song is good. It gots that 80s synth to it. And the MV matches the vibe.

I loved this song when I saw it on Gayo Daejeon last week. The MV made me cry!! So beautifully shot, so nostalgic, the girls have great expressions that really sell it. Haum hugging Jiyu! KiiiKiii continues to hit for me. Loved I Do Me, Been That Girl, and now this. I’m really excited to keep watching them. All of the girls are so beautiful too, I love all of their unique looks and their styling has been so good.

  23. I love how the MV is filmed and the lighting is amazing. It’s like a 90’s movie/drama in higher and better quality.

  24. The song is incredible! It’s been so hard waiting for this to release after they performed it recently at SBS Gayo Daejeon Summer 2025. I watched that stage way too many times over the past week or so. I’ve definitely become obessed and I’m so happy to have it on Spotify. This year has been amazing for releases and my potential SOTY list is already long but Dancing Alone will definitely be high up there as well.

The MV is also gorgeous and very cute! I have no clue where this location is, but I love that Starship keeps filming their MV’s at such pretty places.

I’ve been looking forward to this release since they premiered it in their live performances – it’s soooo great!!! Haum is TOTALLY one to watch!

  26. Perfection šŸ’“šŸ’“.. gives me the same vibe of CHVRCHES’s _Forever_ (one of my fav songs ever)

  27. Higurashihead on

These girls have such interesting colorful voices, I loved them in ‘I Do Me’, and this song feels perfect to showcase them too!

  28. That was some great cinema. Song was great. Choreo was great. Everything was great, lol. Really want to see the behind-the-scenes of that rooftop-to-ground swing.

I don’t know what it is, but I love the ā€œunpolishedā€ acting of rookie groups.

Edit: Don’t sleep on the other song released with it, ā€œStrawberry Cheesegame.ā€ Has some abrupt changes, but is overall good.

  29. big fan of doing early 2000s but really making an 80s song and mv. it’s taking the silly concept of y2k to its conclusion, which is that it was always just a vibe and most songs in the ‘genre’ pull from different eras. kiiikiii and the creative team behind the imagery, choreography, vocalization, and fashion for this song/mv did a phenomenal job here. it’s def going on my daily playlist

  30. nomoreconversations on

Love this! It’s up there with I Do Me, for me. I hope they stick to more vocal tracks and skip the rapping.

  31. Their music videos always make me want to take a trip with my friends.
But it’s so hard to do once you’re an adult with a job šŸ™

  32. Specialist_Bottle570 on

I loved loved loved this song and mv. Everything looks like a great follow up to I Do Me.

I saw this song live at the Gayo Dajeon, and have been in love since

Im so happy that Starship was able to pivot away from the BTG and Groundwork themes, and go back to the I Do Me style. This was the correct direction to go, I’m glad Starship listened to the fans.

  33. iveknownthegarden on

fun fact: the school in the background is the same one where they filmed To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I recognised it straight away!

  34. ConstableBlimeyChips on

That was a really pleasant surprise. Looks like that Sistar summer hit DNA is still present within Starship. Also, did anyone get a lot of *Footloose* vibes from the MV?

  35. sunsetpeaks22 on

This is TOTALLY a K-Pop song that I connect with Carly Rae Jepsen’s pop sound and discography – sooooo good because that exemplifies a pure pop sound to me!! The song, the music video, and choreo are just so fun and gives off the vibe of enjoying your moments with friends on and your own when you’re young. It deserves to be a hit

  36. deadwrongallalong on

I really love both the song and music video! I think this song suits them the best and also has the most similar vibe to I Do Me. It has this retro, nostalgic and sentimental feeling that almost makes me feel like crying 🄲 the music video is also just really great. They picked some wonderful locations and the lighting throughout the video is gorgeous. Someone else said it looks like at least part of it was filmed in Canada and I love to see it
