I've always been a fairly casual Blackpink fan, until one night in June, deep in a YouTube rabbit hole, I stumbled on the Messy MV by Rosé and started watching it on repeat. Soon after I was googling for upcoming concerts (I was really out of the loop) and impulse-bought a ticket to the first London show.

Best decision ever! My first K-Pop concert, at the ripe age of fifty. I went solo, but I didn't for a moment feel self-conscious for being alone or older than most other fans. It was an unforgettable experience. My first K-Pop concert, but definitely not the last. I'd love to get a seat closer to the stage next time.

To those who are a bit long in the tooth like me: it's never too late! Go for it, you won't regret it.

Thanks for reading. I just wanted to share this with someone. To all fellow Blinks who attended the show, I hope you had a wonderful night.

  1. I’m slightly younger but not much. Went solo as well and don’t regret it at all

So glad I went to their concert

34 Male here. Went alone myself to D1. Had a good seat in the lower tier. But not cheap
Bought merch in Pop up store too.

My first ever Kpop concert and loved every second. It had to be Blackpink as they are the group who got me into Kpop 4 years ago.

I really hope they come back again, but also looking forward to other artists coming as well
    Amazing Experience

  4. (Me with 55 kpop acts under my belt)

It was pretty good! I thought the energy at the start was a bit poor from the girls, but when the solos started they started picking up energy and getting better.
