  1. On my way to listen to the ENEMY album, but then they drop a Director’s CUT of the ENEMY MV at the same time.

Clearly they should’ve just made the song longer to fit the video instead of cutting the video to the song length /s

  3. “This handwriting… I feel like I’ve seen it before”

    *looking at a receipt* 😂

I continue to believe, this song, might just be as important to them as Feel Special. Especially for Jihyo. This seems like a confession, that, yes, there were times when things weren’t good and they struggled with themselves. I think a lot of these issues the character faces are all issues that eveyone in TWICE has had to deal with. It feels way more personal than other songs. And I think that’s why Jihyo is involved with everything about this song. While she didn’t write it, it struck with her.

This director’s cut has confirmed a lot of my thoughts of the narrative of the trailer and M/V.

    What a beautiful project.

Edit: Also, want to clarify, that even though the project shows things they might have struggled with, the overall message is a positive one, as it shows them overcoming their own internal enemies, never backing down, and always moving forward. So even though it’s a confession, it’s also a declaration. “Don’t worry about us Once. We all go through it, but we come out if it stronger than before, and we’re far from being done.”

  5. This and Like 1 feel like companion pieces to each other. Like 1 feels a bit sadder (as evidenced by its animated music video), giving us a glimpse at Twice’s possible distant future where they go their separate ways from Once and each other. But they’ll value the time they have together now and let us know they’ll always be united as one wherever their journeys lead them.

But Enemy compliments and “replies” to Like 1 perfectly by reminding us of how bonded Twice is, that any one of their pains feels like all of their pains. And regardless of how distant they are, they *feel* each other’s hearts and root for each other to fight through the pain towards their goals.

Watching this Director’s Cut after Like 1 makes this hit harder. I know Enemy comes before Like 1 in the album order, but I wish it came last so that the album gets capped off with a triumphant message.
