So the WM CEO was kicked out and replaced by the RBW CEO, Chaeyeon just left the company, ONF’s part 2 album has been getting delayed for months (I suppose because of these internal issues happening in WM) and ONF’s contract should be expiring around January…

  2. Is something happening over at WM? What’s going on with Chaeyeon leaving and now this? Something to do with RBW?

  3. What a shame. The OG WM had such a vision creating the first three groups and Cha Yoonji’s debut album is still great to listen to years later. I was hoping the acquisition wouldn’t affect WM too much but I guess RBW is always looking for more profits.

  4. Man. RBW, greedy mf’s

I’m wondering how this will affect ONF and Uspeer, especially since they seemed to have a pretty solid launch and a decent future

  5. Whew. It sounds like WM is basically just “RBW with even less holding it up” at this point, which is a shame. Although I don’t think any company is perfect, WM did seem like it was one of the better ones (it’s a case where I genuinely believe the now-ex-CEO *actually* cared about his artists), and it’s been… such a mess lately. Which is apparently true of RBW in general right now, whatever’s happening over there. I don’t know enough to say more than what I’m seeing, though.

It does suck as a big fan of ONF in particular to see them struggling with this lately, especially when their album likely should have been either rolling out or already released by now. I’m not all too worried about them as a group—they enlisted together, you have to really be dedicated to your group to do that. Musically? Yeah, Hwang Hyun would work with them in any form they take. I just wish they and the other artists under WM didn’t have to deal with the fallout of company politics.
