  1. I don’t know why the producer can’t just take the loss, put the show in archive and terminated the debut lineup’s contracts. Yes I know the loss might be in millions for the producer but maybe next time do a run test first on whether an exclusively underage participants survival show is viable for the general public. They could have done a kid-friendly group if they want instead of trying to debut them like a normal K-pop group if the members must be underage.

    >According to the injunction filing, A and B told Suh they wanted to withdraw once the broadcast was blocked, but instead she allegedly pressured and criticized them, even urging continued group housing. The filing claims Suh deflected responsibility and grew furious at their withdrawal request, and warned, “I won’t let you go so easily,” in what the teens argue was an attempt to hold them to an unfair contract.

Ugh, this is so icky! I hope the girls can get out of their contracts and Suh sees legal consequences!

  3. tl;dr Despite the show’s broadcast and debut cancelation, they still went through w the actual competition and a debut lineup was selected regardless. The show was then proposed for Japanese broadcast and group debut under a new title, which was also rejected by a network there. The CEO is now angling to air the show in Thailand and/or other SEA markets and subsequently debut the girls there, and two fed-up members of the selected lineup (no ages given btw) are now suing to leave as this is nowhere near what they originally agreed upon and would interfere w their continued education and other things.

What a fuckin shitshow. I hope all the girls get freed from the contracts, this show is NEVER going to fly in any country the lady shops it to. Some of those girls were like EIGHT.
