Caption: UTA kicked off the Busan International Film Festival—which is celebrating 30 years as the epicenter of Asian cinema—with our annual “UTA Night at Busan” at the city’s Park Hyatt.
The event drew nearly 300 guests—a who’s who of Asian entertainment and global partners—including our clients Maggie Kang, Lee Byung-hun, Joshua Hong, and Angela Kang. With UTA representing top talent across film, television, and music, the evening highlighted the creative cross-pollination shaping Asian storytelling and its global impact.
As the only major Hollywood agency deeply rooted in this space, the event underscored our commitment to championing Asian creators across all mediums—on-screen and on-stage alike.
UTA’s David Park (Partner and Agent, Talent), David Zedeck (Partner and Co-Head of Worldwide Music), Max Michael (Asia Business Development), Paul Yoo (Head of Ventures) and Jacqueline Kim (Agent, Talent) were among those from UTA in attendance.
Ahead of the festival’s kick-off, Park spoke to Variety about UTA’s investment in Asian storytellers, saying, “Our plans for Asia are ambitious. We’re thinking about Asia not just in terms of what business we can bring to the U.S., but how we can expand our global footprint working with great artists already in Asia to help them with both their local aspirations and global aspirations,” he said. Special thanks to our event partners @hwayo.official and @veganj.official.
