A very cute vocal heavy song (that’s also again like 3 and a half minutes long!!) from the h2h girlies. Definitely get the SES comparisons. I think it does a good job in reimagining what a 90s cute kpop girl group song could be like in 2025.
At the same time, the chorus and the hook aren’t as memorable or unique as style or the chase to me. The verses and pre choruses are very gorgeous and layered with vocals. Perhaps in their effort to highlight the vocals, the production seems to have taken a backseat and doesn’t have the sparkle of the chase.
The first section of the bridge was pretty unexpected? Actually adore the vocals in the bridge and the final chorus.
Overall on first listen – cute but not very memorable, however a very good presentation of their vocals. It took me a couple of listens to get style and I can see my self returning to pretty please later on too

First things first, were they sponsored by Pokémon? The MV looked toooo good ngl!
Secondly, the song itself kinda needed a bigger ending personally but I really liked how it mashed the classic SM tune along with the New Jeans vibe as their concept, especially with the chorus matching the sound to supernatural.
I really wanna like this but can someone just make the ending sound more “fuller”?
Also am I the only that kinda liked the rap???? 🫣

Cute song! I think this will age well as it’s not a very in your face kind of song. Very dreamy, sway your head kind of song. A lot of people were making S.E.S. comparisons from the teaser and I can def see that.
Also the girls sound amazing here! Wonder who did the adlibs at the end? I’m sure it was Carmen but I don’t think it was ALL Carmen. Might have heard Stella as well.

“Style” is one of the few songs that I liked that came out this year,it’s really stucked in my brain since when it came out and I wish SM promoted it better because the potential to become a hit was HIGH but I’m glad it was still succesful so I hope their new title track for the comeback will get tons of promotions.
I have great expectations for this comeback and “Pretty please” as a prerelease song was really a good choice because is setting a really good mood,I hope the title track will be flashy,pink and sparkly,a lot of glitters and colorful,something I will have to blast on full volume and I hope SM will give them an iconic coreography because they are fenomenal and their synchronization is so satisfying to watch that I’m sure it would look overall amazing 🙏

i love how this is a 3.5 minutes song and highlighted vocal detailed/heavy verses by the 4 vocalists, while also showcasing raps and the bridge having a stipulated break for the 4 main dancers/rappers, everyone got to shine….
everything was really…pretty, fitting w the song and the mv….
and the as i continue listening to it, the chorus keeps growing on me (js like Chase and Style both were growers)….my current ranking would be The Chase > Pretty Please > Style

A lot of groups do the nostalgic Y2K concept but this is the first time I see one release something that actually sounds like what Kpop was in the late 90s and early 2000s.
