  1. I really really love this font. Its something I can actually use for formal purposes too. Such a unique endevour by her team!

  2. I was reading the story of this on the oddatelier web site — it’s wonderful to see Jennie’s passion for her Korean heritage and her connection to the story of Hangul.

Hangul (the modern Korean writing system) was created just a few hundred years ago (in 1443, by King Sejong) to make reading, education, and literacy more accessible for more people. And it worked. It’s a major part of the success of the Korean people. Hangul is remarkably easy to learn, even for a westerner like myself. By creating this font and giving it away for free, Jennie is showing her deep appreciation for her Korean heritage and the meaning of Hangul in Korean history.
