NMIXX as always presenting us with a masterpiece. I adore this group so much. I really think they found their sound and perfected it.

  2. Album of the year

Spinnin on it —> Rico might be one of the best run of b-sides I’ve heard in years

  3. reality hurts -> rico -> game face is genuinely such a strong trio of songs

actually scratch that this whole album is just amazing, genuinely this is up there as one of my favorite albums of all time, i know ill find it difficult to skip any of these songs lol. its so experimental yet cohesive and feels so nmixx and its awesome

  4. Have been waiting and waiting for a perfect album from them and they’ve finally done it. Going up immediately into the ranks of Perfect Velvet for me. I’ve always believed that NMIXX are limitless sonically because of their vocalists and they’re finally using absolutely EVERYONE. not a single voice or range or tone wasted

  5. Never would have imagined that Blue Valentine would a trippy, boppy, beautifully dissonant dance album. 🕺💃🕺💃🕺💃

The switch ups in Crush On You should be illegal.

I’m up to Rico, and this is one of the most insane lineups of 5 consecutive songs ever omg

edit – Game Face, PODIUM… hit after hit after hit after hit….

  7. Blue valentine – **9.5/10** – sounds beautiful, that pre-chorus is insane, wish there was a changeup.

Spinnin on it – **9/10** – could have easily been the title track as well, some great vocals.

Phoenix – **8/10** – loving the deeper vocals and the beat, and the sorta changeup.

Reality hurts – **8.5/10** – will go insanely hard in the clubs, can’t wait to get hammered and listen to this.

Rico – **6/10** – never much of a fan of repetitive choruses, but the verses are nice and it might grow on me.

Game face – **7.5/10** – cool vocals, reminds me of their earlier b-sides.

Podium – **6.5/10** – great chorus and ending, slightly weaker pre-chorus, will once again go hard in the clubs.

Crush on you – **6.5/10** – loving their voices, especially Jiwoo’s, overall it might grow on me.

Adore U – **9.5/10** – don’t what it is specifically, maybe the beat and vocals, but this is godly, maybe even my favourite on the album.

Shape of love – **7/10** – catchy chorus, may take a few more listens.

O.O pt.1 – **7/10 -** feels strange not hearing the changeup, but I liked the og so this was good as well.

O.O pt.2 – **8.5/10** – all over the place. I love it. PIU PIU PIU

  8. One of my favorite kpop albums not just of this year, but in a long long time. Like I expected to love it based on the highlight medleys and how much I like their music in general but this kinda floored me.

  9. This album is insane, it’s practically 12 incredible title tracks lol. So much diversity throughout, there’s a song for everyone. JYPE full albums never fail to deliver the goods.

  10. They can’t keep getting away with this, man. Every song is a banger! This cements NMIXX as my favourite group right now.

Wanted to come here and say that, if there is any semblance of justice in the world, this will be looked at as the Pink Tape of the 2020s but I see u/hollaQ_ has already beaten me to it. You know they’ve made an excellent record when two people are invoking the holy grail. It’s much more reassuring than it only coming from my NMIXX-specific breed of brainworms.

NMIXX may have set themselves the highest bar for a K-pop album of any group that I have ever been a fan of in the lead up to this, it was practically impossible for them to clear it, but clearly we’re dealing with 6 Armand Duplantises here because they seem to keep skying over it with relative ease- again and again.

I don’t even know if I can name a stand-out, even the songs I had expectations not to mesh with quite as well ended up reaching the heights of the ones I was locked in on. Seeing them name dropped plenty here so I’m glad to not be alone in that. The last thing that struck me, and made me a bit emotional, was revisiting O.O like this. I am so glad these tracks got to come along for the ride. Not just because their debut is what brought me here… but because hearing it directly after the first 10 tracks hit me with just how *young* they sound. Even in the re-recording. Their music was always great, and the same spirit is there, but they’ve grown so much so quickly. A heart-warming full circle moment.
