Uhh sorry this isn’t really about the actual music but where do you find it on Apple Music? It’s not showing up for me
I had no idea EJAE was involved with O.O, that’s awesome
Edit: just listened to the whole album, Its very satisfying to finally
get full album that has decent length to it and it doesn’t end in 15 mins. Initial thoughts:
– I have been sleeping on O.O all this time
– Loving Phoenix and Podium
– Reality Hurts this is definitely ending up on Electrik Seoul’s setlist
But so far I am liking the whole tracklist, the beauty of NMIXX songs are the fine details that you discover as you listen to the song more and more
Going through the album right now (Rico currently playing) and every song is good!!!! Christ this is crazy! Based on first impressions so far, Phoenix is the best for me (Still think Spinnin’ on it is my fav)

There’s simply no words to accurately describe how much I love this group, oh my god.
In retrospect, what if their debut was actually O.O Pt1 (Baila) and O.O Pt2 (Superhero) rather than MIXXing (no pun intended) the song together? This is now a full circle, the redemption of this song.

Reality Hurts certified banger
Blue valentine – **9.5/10** – sounds beautiful, that pre-chorus is insane, wish there was a changeup.
Spinnin on it – **9/10** – could have easily been the title track as well, some great vocals.
Phoenix – **8/10** – loving the deeper vocals and the beat, and the sorta changeup.
Reality hurts – **8.5/10** – will go insanely hard in the clubs, can’t wait to get hammered and listen to this.
Rico – **6/10** – never much of a fan of repetitive choruses, but the verses are nice and it might grow on me.
Game face – **7.5/10** – cool vocals, reminds me of their earlier b-sides.
Podium – **6.5/10** – great chorus and ending, slightly weaker pre-chorus, will once again go hard in the clubs.
Crush on you – **6.5/10** – loving their voices, especially Jiwoo’s, overall it might grow on me.
Adore U – **9.5/10** – don’t what it is specifically, maybe the beat and vocals, but this is godly, maybe even my favourite on the album.
Shape of love – **7/10** – catchy chorus, may take a few more listens.
O.O pt.1 – **7/10 -** feels strange not hearing the changeup, but I liked the og so this was good as well.
O.O pt.2 – **8.5/10** – all over the place. I love it. PIU PIU PIU
My first listening impressions and opinions:
Blue valentine: The Switch Up is very mild imo. I really like it that they put it at the start. Like a typical Nmixx TT I need a few listens to get it.
Phoenix: like I predicted that is my favorite track. It’s starts very strong and doesn’t want to let you go. It has this upbeat but still „dark“ vibe. Papillons little sister. Sadly only 2:42 min 🙁
Reality hurts: damn the highlight medley gave me a first impression but this still surprised me. Top 2 for me. I love that this track lets mostly all girls use their deeper registers.
Rico: hmm I think I need a few more listen to this. But the pre chorus is Soo good.
Game Face: Also a banger
Podium: ooh it’s getting right into it. Reality Hurts might have a contender for the second place. It’s very Soñar adjacent. I think this is very NMIXXy song (in a good way ofc).
Crush on you: The Chorus is soo catchy and vibey.
Adore you: That one was a surprise. From the highlight medley I didn’t think I would be very invested in this song but somehow it really like it. Could have been a half a minute longer.
Shape of love: it’s also very good. Personally maybe not my cup of tea. But he little switch up at the end was bomb.

I shouldn’t be surprised anymore but wow. Blue Valentine topped the trilogy for me. Unlike the others, this is literally a no skip album which is amazing because it’s the first time I felt this way and they did that with 10 new songs.
I usually rank the songs but they’re all so good that I’m having trouble. Crush On You might be my fave though. We’ll see in a few weeks.

Quick 1st Impressions:
Blue Valentine – Beautiful… I need to listen again and not be a bit distracted by the MV visuals…lol
Spinnin’ On It – Straight Genius track!! Really Fresh and nothing like it.. Strong Contender for a Top 3 NMIXX track for me
Phoenix – This is a FIRE track. This goes so hard with great transitions and I can see it being a lot of people’s favorite.
Reality Hurts – This GOES HEAVY…Wild and Experimental. Really heavy Techno Futuristic sound. The Chorus is a Sonic Sledgehammer!!
RICO – Caught me off guard with how great it is. The Beat is FIRE. Chorus is crazy catchy. Jiwoo is going off!!
Game Face – Really fun and light with a very catchy chorus.
PODIUM – Wow this hits you in the face with a great beat right off the bat. Such a great groove going on here.
Crush on You – Very mellow but also light and Pop-Y and the Vocals are Angelic.
ADORE U – OMG this is freaking AMAZING!!! Has an 80s/90s Pop/Rock vibe and the Chorus just DRIVES!!
Shape of Love – This is Awesome too!! Great groove in the verses and the Chorus is perfect for cruising down the HWY with windows rolled down.
O.O Parts 1 & 2 – Amazing but we all know this…lol

As expected RICO and Podium are my favourites, with the second half showcasing their vocals sounding more interesting than the first half (though it sounds more mainstream). But the first half of the album is definitely warming up to me! I suspect i’ll be listening to the album many times to dissect the layers to the songs.
I understood that they said the album was experimental and I get that vibe across the different genres they covered, but I’m surprised at the lack of NMIXX changeup in this album.

Every time they drop something new I think it can’t be better than the last one, but I don’t mind being wrong. Blue Valentine takes the cake as my new favorite title track. While nothing on this album has topped Papillion for me (basically live changing hearing the first 30s for the time time), as a whole this album is insanely stacked. Personally RICO, Game Face, and O.O Pt. 1 didn’t do it for me, but the rest of the songs I enjoyed a lot adding them straight to my playlist. Imo this is their strongest album yet, I don’t know how they will top it, but I’ve said that multiple times now so who knows.
Honestly, after my first listen through I don’t love this as much as I thought I would. Overall it sounds too “sweet” if that makes sense? Still a solid album, my favourite is Spinnin’ on it, and Rico, Shape of love and Phoenix are my standouts
And I love the rhythm changes on Blue Valentine, though not so much the song as a whole. Still excited to live performances though, there’s a high chance that will change my mind!
I think there’s some room for it to grow on me though
Okay this album is fantastic holy shhhhhhhhh. The run from reality hurts to podium is just slappers on slappers i swear. They have found there niche and really doubled down on it here. Lots of afrobeats influence among others.
Need to let it sit but this is (on first listen) among my fave albums this year
I’m going to need multiple listens to be able to rank this, all of the tracks are excellent. I’m reluctant to say which one is my favorite bc they’re all top tier so that could change at any moment (right now Reality Hurts is my fave).
Also, I’m so glad we finally have the O.O versions; it really feels like a full-circle moment.

Once again, I am surprised at how they branch off into other genres. It always keeps things fresh. I was unprepared for how uncanny it was to hear O.O Pt. 1 (Baila) and not get that change-up haha

Am I hearing things or on OO part1 they lower the instrumenal sound on last chorus, also they added layers on the chorus voices.
I listened to each song at least thrice, and overall I like the album. So far, I liked Forward better, because it felt more experimental? This album feels a little safer. Looking forward to their lives! I generally like the live versions more than the studio recordings. These are my ratings so far:
blue valentine **7/10** – just not feeling this too much. song doesn’t sound cohesive, but maybe after more listens?
spinning on it **9.5/10** – Favorite song of the track. I can finally listen to it without playing the MV.
phoenix **7.5/10** – the intro is really intriguing, but it feels too busy in the middle.
reality hurts **8/10** – loving the distorted sounds
rico **9/10** – love the beat, I especially like jiwoo and haewon in the first chorus, also lily adlibs
game face **7/10** – the chorus is a little to cutesy for me, like everything else, esp jiwoo’s rap
podium **6/10** – sounds too repetitive for me, last third is more interesting
crush on you **8.5/10** – I like it way more than I expected based on the teaser
adore u **7/10** – dont like the intro too much, favorite was the part in the medley
shape of love **8.5/10** – love the instrument at the start, vocals really shine in this song
o.o pt1 **7/10** – sounds better as its own song.
o.o pt2 **8/10** – I’ve always loved how upbeat it is.
