  1. From this article, are people making a bug deal bc it implies any romance of/between idols? Or is something else controversial?

It’s been known but between this and the recent TXT Huening Kai “controversy” of him helping a female friend who was drunk, and a ZB1 fan getting hated after a fansign report that Zhang Hao saying the word “lesbian” it’s clear fans are extremely overbearing and delusional about how entitled they are to idol image and control

  2. Can’t have anything nice without people being weird 🙄

That probably would have been a fun show

This is why we can’t have nice things, I love watching the old episodes of We Got Married (made me a Taemin fan, he was so adorable). Crazy fans today don’t know how to let people live and have fun smh…

  4. This is so disappointing. I expected better from Nevies. But I guess the parasocial spirit is strong in every fandom.

Both idols have been in the industry for 7 years (?) and we still have delulu fans on their ass wtf

Its a «dating» show with arguably Cube’s Princess. Are they mental? Backlash is part of the base package.

  7. They should have just gone through with airing it, you know people would still tune in; even if it’s hate watching

  8. this sucks so bad, i love kpop but god, does the fandom culture annoy me so fucking much. i love idol interactions, some people just hate fun. it would have been cool to bring back concepts like we got married or just, platforms for idols to meet and interact.

  9. I guess we finally got an answer to the question can kpop fans today handle We Got Married and to no one’s surprise they can’t.

I don’t where things went so off the rails that we can’t even get fun fake dating shows anymore because people have completely lost their minds.

It’s mostly fans on the Korean side that caused the backlash. I know Jinyoung recently said that he laughed when he saw the headlines because it really wasn’t what it looked like lol. I think it was marketed to seem that way but in reality, it’s a show revolving around a game concept to get each other’s heart rate to increase.
