neopotism is a huge problem and no doubt Annie had it easy, but her family is publicly revealed. How many idols come from extremely privileged backgrounds that have allowed them to become trainees and debut and we know nothing about it?
this feels unnecessarily shady. and Annie being in ADP didnt make the group successful. In fact, some would argue that she probably has no direct affect at all (woochans popularity, bailey sok being a choreography, yongeseo having a pre-debut fanbase, TEDDY being their producer id argue are more contributing factors to their success).
again, i have to wonder if a male idol in her position would get a headline like this

They really should have chosen someone with at least *some* MC experience for a big event like this. Minhyun been around for years, Minho is obviously a very well-liked senior idol, Annie hasn’t even hosted a single music show. I feel like there’s a major skill gap here.

Gosh, I wonder how this rookie idol whose debut was like a month ago and who has no experience MCing even a singular music show got such a gig???

Everyone has to start somewhere. Even the most established hosts today had their first time too. Yoona, for example, wasn’t born experienced. You don’t gain hosting skills overnight; you build them through opportunities. If we keep insisting on only picking the ‘experienced ones,’ how will new talents ever grow? Calling it nepotism just because someone’s getting their first break is unfair it’s how people earn that experience in the first place. If that was from a nugu group, y’all would judge. If it’s not your faves, y’all would judge.
It’s just like in real life or corporate work: if companies only hired people with experience, then how would interns or fresh grads ever get a chance to prove themselves?

Really interesting there was no “nepotism” talks when [Dohoon from TWS](https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/1hc9qz3/2024_mbc_gayo_daejejeon_announces_1st_lineup/) was announced as an MC last year as a rookie. This was before he was a music show MC too
