So I'm a fairly new Once who went to my first Twice concert in Sydney tonight.
I have to say, just 3 hours ago Jihyo wasn't even my 7th favourite member. But that woman just went on a bias wrecking rampage at Qudos Bank Arena tonight.
Her energy and showmanship is out of this world – more than the other members combined, which might be a controversial comment.
She could have sung the 30 songs by herself and I'm not sure that the show would have been much worse.
Just amazing – I now understand the God Jihyo nickname.

She always bias-wrecks me in concerts. I am in awe whenever I watch her perform energetically.

Yeah, Jihyo is do damn professional and “On” during live shows, it’s incredibly impressive.
Also of note at lives is Jeongyeons vocals and Dubus banter to Once.
Jihyo does not know the definition of “Off” on stage. Mic is on, dance is on, energy is up, charm is on. You had no choice, but to stan and that is understandable.
She looks like she genuinely enjoys herself, even when she’s not singing she’s just dancing and jamming. Mouthing the lyrics during other member’s parts. So good to watch!
For research purposes what row was this? Also was it a corner section?
Do you remember what they played in Chae’s absence? I was really looking forward to seeing SHOOT live in Melbourne 🙁
Why she’s called God Jihyo.
This was my first concert as well, her stage presence is insane.
Jihyo honestly deserves SO much respect. At 28, she’s JYPEs second most tenured idol after JYP himself. And there’s probably only a handful of employees in general who’ve been there that long.
She has the talent and worked SO hard
Lol Jihyo is also a demon, she feeds off of your energy and cheers and performs even better. She just thrives on the stage, gives it her utmost best and literally performs like rent is due – something you might have heard about it in those youtube TWICE guides lol. If she sees you dozing and just recording them with your phone, she’ll come over, ask you to stand up, and sing and cheer harder for them.
Even when the show’s ending and encore is happening, you’ll see her bouncing around all the corners of the stage, hyping and interacting with ONCE while Jeongyeon is blessing everyone with her holy water lol, she’ll belt out those high notes like it ain’t nobody’s business. She’s inarguably one of the best performers in the scene period.
