  1. This is not surprising, given the long process of animation. Super excited for the sequel nonetheless!!

    Considering the time between ‘Frozen’ and ‘Frozen 2’ was 6 years… I’ll take a 4-year gap.👏🏼

  3. Time to craft a good story (and not just a cash grab) and curate great songs (without copying/rehashing).

I suspect a lot of companies will be knocking many doors to try to replace TWICE as the tie-in group.

I’m surprised that Netflix doesn’t seem to be considering a theatrical release before making the sequel available on streaming. I’m sure it would make a ton of profit but then again I guess this is them prioritizing their streaming model.

  5. This isn’t that surprising of a timetable. Animation, especially really good ones, take time.

  6. Well if it’s one thing Sony Animation does great..

    Is… keep to release dates…

    Uhhhh…

When’s the next Spider-Man movie coming out again?

  7. Really curious as to how Netflix/Sony will capitalize on the franchise besides the direct sequel. Plenty of potential content that remains untapped – Saja Boys, Mira, Zoey, Rumi’s parents etc. Webtoons? Animated series and shorts (in a different, cheaper animation style)? Always thought a tour will sell like gangbusters (even if it will take a lot of planning, negotiations and coordinating between the talents and Netflix/Sony).

I feel that the Netflix won’t expected so much time to captalize KDH and will invest one a series with less budget envolved like the Kung Fu Panda series to feal the space until the sequel movie be releases

Look how much the KDH was talked about in this year. It is a phenomenon that we didn’t see in years of animations (maybe since Frozen in 2014)
