I didn't see too much info when I bought the tickets, so for those doing their homework.
I, seated in Section 52 in Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne. I Highly reccomend buying a ticket on the long side of the stage, they shoot confetti, streamers and take a photo at the end of the night with both sides but not the ends.

Twice usually do rotate between who goes to which side, but I think I noticed Dahyun and Jeongyeon towards the bottom more than the top and Momo and Jihyo towards the otherside more often for those interested (it is worth noting, I think there was a giant black box that might be obstructing the view of the seats above from looking straight down).

Also, the corners do allow you to see both sides to a degree, but THE INFRASTRUCTURE for the giant display as you can see blocked most of the view of Twice 😭😭😭, for the best view just choose the 4 sides of the stage. If you are interested in seeing the band, they were on the otherside of this photo, so it would be closer to Section 10 in the 2nd photo. They performed a sick intermission performance.

Hopefully this helps someone doing their homework to get a good view from my experience, but things may change between performances. But anything is good when there's barely any information.

  1. Edit: infrastructure pillars* I was seated in the middle of Section 52 and the pillars blocked a good chunk of the performance :,)

  2. Sounds like a Melbourne problem, they had no such giant intrusive pillar at the Sydney ones at the very least. But I have heard there are other venues that might have this issue, so seems like a case to case basis.

  3. Rod Laver dropped the ball with this format I think. I had A reserve tickets, on a slight angle and the very back stage was still obstructed for me. If I see this type of format again, I would try to avoid angles, and get seats on one of the direct sides, or the main end and be as low as possible.

Also I went to the Saturday show and found the sound mixing not the best. There were times you really couldn’t hear the vocals, in my opinion 🙁

I think having those pillars depends on the venue. Rod Laver arena has a retractable roof so it can’t support the screens hence the need to setup the pillars for the screens. The dome shows in Japan also had a similar setup because the roof of the domes are too high.
