what do you agree with here and what's different in your opinion? how would you rank their albums? THE WAR and DMUMT are absolute 10/10 albums, some of the best k-pop albums ever

  1. The way I don’t think I could place a single exo album below okay… certainly not in bad lol. Electric Kiss may be my favorite choreo and personally I enjoy For Life (the song) and 24 (even if they forget it exists). And I’m an r&b fan so Exist is right up my alley. There’s really only a few songs in their discogrophy I skip and I think even most of those would be fun in concert. Not enough to write off an album for me. Maybe I’m glazing 🤷🏽‍♀️

Yeah, actually, I pretty much agree. You and I must have pretty similar taste 🙂

The top two albums are well-paced and the most consistent quality-wise and thematically. But I do have a soft spot for Exodus; not every song is a hit, but it’s highlights are *so* incredible that I probably revisit it the most, including the Chinese versions. If the then-EXO-M members had been included altogether so I could hear them all in one version, I would have died happy…

I would have ranked DFTF and Exist one tier higher though. DFTF is more lighthearted and simplistic than a lot of their music, but nothing unpleasant. Exist is pretty homogeneous and seems more “for the vibes” side of R&B, which isn’t to my preference, but there are some nice funky and passionate moments, and I am partial to Let Me In because they are just sooo dramatic and mournful!

I think EXO’s baseline tends to be pretty high, where even their below-average (comparative to their own discography) albums are not offensively bad. And that’s why I’m a fan.
