    >AKMU will leave YG Entertainment after their contract expires at the end of December and pursue independence, reportedly preparing to establish their own company with their longtime manager. Yang Hyun-suk is said to have supported the decision, believing that a new environment would fuel the duo’s next stage of growth.

They’re the least YG-coded among the artists there. Wishing them all the best in their future as artists.

  3. WOAH

YG takes another hit. can they even survive if BP goes on a longer hiatus once this album is released?

I doubt the girls will tour again.

I actually won’t be surprised if in a few years YG closes business

  4. Ngl, I was always so surprised they were at YG, they didn’t seem to fit the company at all. They definitely deserve all the success a major label has given them, though, and I wish them all the best!

WOW!! i’m really excited to see what akmu will do independently, i hope to see them more in 2026 thanks to this

  6. I believe they’ll thrive outside of YG. I find the direction YG is going in is fascinating to say the least. Their roster used to be so diversified in sound.

  7. they had a very long run with yg since their days on that music show, I wonder who they’ll join next? Antenna?

  8. sad , i wish can see Akmu have world Tour first before they leave YG , maybe next Winner or Eun Ji Won leave YG ,next year we will see new Boy Group and Girl Group debut at YG

  9. they had a wonderful career under yge with seemingly tons of artistic freedom, opportunity, and room for their personal lives. i hope they look back on their time at yge fondly! i can’t imagine what they choose to do next won’t be just as exciting, so i’m looking forward to more news 🥰
