I’ve seen a couple of cover performances and they’re fine. Not extraordinary, not horrible, just fine. They’re carbon copies. But they lack what makes the original special: Taehyung’s voice.
Tae’s growly vocals are an important part of Boy in Luv. Without them, the song sounds kind of flat.
That cover is no exception. It’s alright but it doesn’t have the grit of the original.
