I.O.I/Gugudan member and actress Kim Sejeong wins Top Excellence Award in a Miniseries (Actress) at the 2025 MBC Drama Awards for her role in "Moon River".
In her speech, Sejeong comments that “It always feels like there are sparkles/stars embedded in the eyes of people who love dreams and art. I sincerely hope that we can keep dreaming for a long time like Peter Pan without losing that sparkle/star, and that we can continue to love art.”
Previously at the 2022 SBS Drama Awards, Sejeong has also won a Top Excellence Award (Actress) for her role in "Business Proposal". This is Sejeong's second Top Excellence Award amongst the three major public broadcast stations (SBS, MBC, KBS).
As an aside, Sejeong and actor Kim Tae-oh were also awarded the Best Couple Award.
