Ohh so this was the performance a bunch of MY’s were upset and rioting about? It’s fine..
This comes across as a performance you’d see in a survivor show, sure Ian is popular enough now, but completely the wrong song for her. Hopefully, Ian picked the song and not SM because she is a fan.
This isn’t shade at Ian or Karina, definitely at their company but SM is really trying to promote Ian as Karina’s successor but they just don’t compare at all
Imagine writing and producing your own song only for you to NOT be able to fully perform it, ONLY for your label to give it to a younger rookie group member who they’re trying to push as you 2.0. Like…
I think Ian is great and has a lot of charm but she is so young / relatively inexperienced and I think it shows here. This is a big stage and a big undertaking for her and maybe not the best concept fit at this point in her career. Plus the baked in comparisons to Karina can be tough on both girls.
ian is very talented but this song didn’t suit her vocally. she did rock the dance and vibe tho.
