I can’t wait for this mini album! Our first big comeback in about 3/4 years! But am I the only one feeling a little disappointed that it’s a mini album? And it only has five songs? Supposedly there will be also extra tracks that will be released through different versions of their albums. But are they going to be like old unreleased leaked demos? Or completely fresh? But either way I’m very excited for their comeback!!🥹

I know some people are upset, but I’m really excited! I honestly didn’t expect anything new when the tour was first announced. I seen it as a victory lap/final tour type thing. Jump ended up being one of my favorite Blackpink songs, and this mini looks to have 4 additional songs instead of the 3 I expected. I hope they do an encore leg of the tour with the new songs. I’d totally go see deadline again 🙂

It was supposed to be a full album, then they delayed it and turned it into this mini and this mini isn’t even six songs… I’m convinced atp that YG doesn’t have employees and everything is being run by AI and feral squirrels.

i remember first getting into kpop and being so excited to get into Blackpink’s discography only to be so confused by the lack of songs and the way that its still the same years later is crazy.

I mean, what do you expect, their fans dont really care much how many songs or albums they release. They are okay with this release pattern of once every 2 yrs with this much (or less) content. So YG will do the bare minimum needed.

It seems like a rushed album, instead of a dedicated carefully crafted project. I hope they do not compromise with the quality of the music. Anyways blackpink is probably the only artist, that can pull off a world tour (mind you stadium tour)with just a single. 💅

I personally don’t have high expectations for group releases anymore, not just Blackpink. In the past, I had high hopes for albums, and then they weren’t to my taste. If I like it, I like it, don’t care what anyone else thinks, same for disliking a song. I honestly like the majority of Blackpink’s discography.
On a tangent, I’m okay with time between releases, doesn’t matter the group. ofc not BP two years, but I don’t need new music every couple of months. I want to be sucked into the K-pop sphere all the time.
