I called it in [my yearly predictions for 2026](https://www.reddit.com/r/kpop/comments/1pxyfi0/the_official_2026_kpop_prediction_thread/)!! I just had a feeling they’d leave WM as soon as they could! Especially after everything that RBW has done to the label, ughhh. I really wish them all the best, I’m glad they’re all staying together, and I look forward to their next activities whenever those happen 🙏 I hope they’re able to find a good company!

I’m not too surprised given everything that’s going on at RBW, but that’s two of my favorite groups (Oneus and ONF) with uncertain futures now … hope they both manage to land on their feet!

ONF fighting! I hope we’ll see more ONF x MonoTree/Hwang Hyun going forward, it’s simply a golden combination that I’ve been missing dearly.

Not surprised, but they’ve had some seriously amazing music so I hope they can find a new place where they can do what they’re so good at. RBW is bleeding artists, though, so I’m scared for their younger artists and the trainees they’ve been gripping in their skeletal hands.

Thank god. That’s one more group RBW won’t pound into the ground with whatever management fuckery they’re doing right now.
I’m hoping they’ll follow USPEER and join the ex-WM CEO’s new company since it should be easier for them as a group (and they’ll be under someone with an already familiar management style)

GOOD RIDDANCE, RBW! I am hopeful wherever they end up, they’ll finally be able to release the full My Identity album, since RBW derailed that plan so spectacularly. Love these guys and hope we hear news of what’s next soon

So RBW is basically just letting everyone go and letting every label become a husk… So much for that ~glowing~ financial report. 🙃

Ohhh RBW is so very, very, *monumentally* screwed.
For the people who don’t know across all 3 labels (RBW itself, WM, and DSP) their roster is down to;
– 2/4 Mamamoo members
– 4/6 Oh My Girl members
– ONEWE
– KARD
– Young Posse
– Son Dongpyo (former Mirae member)
Basically all of those artists are probably able to pay for themselves (maybe not Dongpyo, I don’t follow him enough to be able to say)… but then who is paying the expenses such a large network of labels creates outside the upfront costs of music production? Mamamoo’s upcoming comeback is only gonna tide them over for so long, they need long term cost-cutting for after that.
RBW is gonna have to downsize really quickly (I’m predicting they merge all 3 labels considering they all share the same person as CEO right now).

I wonder if it’s RBW or MW with the original founder? I think someone mentioned they were moving to the new building (RBW?).

I wonder if MW will try to recruit them over, as a company they probably want a stable, already profitable act to help them pay the bills while USPEER is still growing and the members seem to have a positive relationship with the CEO. I feel like it would depend on if he’s able to offer them better than where anywhere else could (loyalty to established connections will eventually lose out to a bigger pay-cheque after a big enough number).

There we go! I jumped the gun a bit and posted this before realizing there wasn’t an English source or translation yet.
Anyway, this is definitely one of the terminations I’ve been happier to see lol. ONF tends to handle difficult things with a lot of grace and strength (even beyond the typical idol training IMO), which is still true, but it was hard seeing them more clearly being frustrated with the state of things at WM/RBW when they don’t show that easily.
Above all else I’m so, so glad that ONF is continuing as a group—I already expected it and really didn’t have any doubts, but the confirmation is nice and it’s great that they get to keep their name.
Things are looking *rough* for RBW though, geez.
