As observed by multiple fans across X/Twitter and Weibo. I know most fans have already deleted the app and cancelled their subscriptions, but this is a major development that everyone should know about.
A number of fans are working hard to archive Danielle-related content before the eventual complete erasure.

on the plus side, looks like Minji isn’t being erased so maybe that means she’s resigning? idk … still a very sad situation all around but I’m desperate for a silver lining at this point.
Update: Someone informed me that since the launch of Phoning, user nicknames are not allowed to contain the exact names of the members, NewJeans or any relevant abbreviations. I wasn’t aware of this as I have never used the app. If this is indeed the case, then anyone who still has Phoning should test this theory in chats to see if mentions of Danielle/OT5/freeNJZ are indeed banned.
