This video has a detailed analysis of chords, progressions, and vocal arrangement of "One of These Nights". It also touch on a topic of " weird chords upper extension" that is unusal for Kpop music and more common in Jazz. Also how the chords in this song avoid tonic bass like a plague until the very end. About modulations downward from prechorus (F Major) to chorus (E Major) which is also unusal. And also about reframing the chords despite having same notes with different bass notes or melody. About how all of this complexities are hidden in plain sight, fit the song feel, and not feel too "theorist" or "academic" for using those (Looking at you, Jacob Collier).
The video is out for a while but it flew under the radar and hasn't been posted here before. Please take a listen!
Also this song is truly for the art and not for the chart. The vocal. The storytelling. The MV. The lyrics about star-crossed lover between the cowherd and the weaver. The implied meaning about Sewol tragedy. The balls to just drop this, a ballad title track and quieter, more subtle "The Velvet" mini just after "The Red" album. Truly greatest Kpop song of all time.

u/YongBlasterz_TH — Thanks for posting this. One Of These Nights is my #1 Red Velvet song. I thought I’d seen all videos that discussed it, but not this one.
