Nothing vague about this when you remember we’re not entitled to knowing someone’s specific health concerns. It also doesn’t dismiss the fact that it could be a physical / mental health hiatus.
Nobody is ever planning on a work/life halting illness to strike (“things unfold in ways we don’t fully control”) , and depending on the nature of the illness, there may be a much more strenuous recovery process that you may not think is necessary outside of doctor’s orders (“I’m trusting the bigger picture”) .
This post reads more like how most of us are (stubborn) in terms of following the doctor’s “dramatic” recommendations, but you know you have to because they’re right and risking a permanent or worse injury could be life altering / career ending.

My big take is ‘I do not envy Manon at all’ because I feel like everything she does is read into so much. I think we just have to accept that we really don’t know anything, and a lot can be projected onto both statements.
