I feel like I didn’t pay attention to this pairing right away. Like they didn’t grab my attention at first. In fact I used to think they got much closer as they got older but then I figured it wasn’t quite right (looking forward to pre-debut and debut Carats’ input about this). But anyway as a result they gave the vibes of those grown up siblings who really enjoy each other’s company and personalities now that they’re grown. Meaning I feel like they genuinely respect each other, they know each other extremely well and really appreciate their differences. In fact they rely on those differences to navigate their adult life.

Within the maknae line or even the whole group they have their very own dynamic and it’s always refreshing to see their content together. I love the combination of Dino’s very down to earth opinions and Vernon’s unique perspective. I feel like they see things, life, the world in very different ways. They’re also both very passionate in different ways and I’d be really curious to see their future unit.

One of my fave VerDi moments was in NanaBnB when Dino was sulking about the pizza getting taken away during the drawing game and Vernon noticed and said, “Chan-ah, I’ll buy you pizza.” Such a hyung moment for Vernon and a somewhat rare moment of Dino acting like a maknae.
