Welp, I was hopeful that with the last update, seeing how they specifically called out the Teipei shows and nothing beyond, that might have meant she was closer to a full recovery than not. However, this one is much more nebulous and vague.
Foot injuries are no joke. Especially in a field like hers. I sincerely hope she’s healing and getting better. If not treated properly, and if pushing too soon, you could have life altering consequences. It’s clear they are aware of this and treating it that seriously, but it does make me worry that maybe more permanent damage has already been done. I really hope not, and I hope she can join her sisters again in the near future. She has such a strong connection with ONCEs, and it’s likely eating her up she can’t see everyone.
One thing is for certain though, she’s going to get a HUGE welcome from the ONCEs who are fortunate enough to see her once she’s back.

I hope she takes as long as she needs. Dahyun is the type to power through even when it’s really bad, and she truly tried, so for her to be gone this long it means it’s quite serious…I wish her a speedy and full recovery 😭💕

She said she had her suitcase packed means she thinks she is able to do it but I am glad JYPE and Medical Staff must have asked her to take more rest.

An ankle fracture is no minor thing. I takes time to heal, and it takes time for the ankle to get used to walking normally again. So performing and dancing is absolutely a no go unless you like to risk permanent damage.
Or they should decide she performs seated again.

Not surprised, seeing how demanding the tours are with constant dancing and travelling. Honestly, I won’t be surprised if she will completely miss out on the rest of the stops/return on the last one or two. Sucks but health always come first. S’all good, they will sign another 4 year contract and do another world tour…rigght?…RIGHT???!!!

The bone fracture may have healed by now but it still takes time to regain strength and range of motion in the ankle, especially for something like concert choreography. I’m sure Dahyun’s fighting to come back as soon as possible but I think she could be out till Japan at the very least, possibly longer.

I realize this is all a bit vague, but are we assuming that this probably means she is skipping at least the second US leg of the tour (Orlando/Charlotte/Boston/Chicago/Detroit/St. Paul/Denver/Austin), through April 18? They didn’t put dates or mention specific events so I was not quite sure how to take it. Is it a week out? Or more like 2-3 weeks? Maybe she will be back for Japan? Or Europe?
Obviously we all want Dahyun to get better, and resting will help her get better *faster* than not, but I am mostly just wondering how far ahead they actually shut her down for stuff. Good on them all for looking out for her health as it is.

Long story short, it’s just sadly going to be a while before we finally see Dahyun perform on stage with the rest of the group as JYP Entertainment has ultimately decided to have Dahyun continue to focus on recovery from her recent ankle injury. I know that it just really sucks to hear that Dahyun will have to get more rest to ensure that she is healthy once more but um, regardless though, health is STILL Dahyun’s number one priority at this point. So uhhhh……yeah. TWICE will be just only OT8 for the time being with Dahyun being out for a indefinite period of time.

Glad our Dubu seems to be healing and progressing well, but sad for the ONCEs who will unfortunately not see her this time around. JYPE is being very careful and for good reason. I’m doubtful of her return until late April to mid May honestly to get proper rehab before getting back into choreography.
