**Vernon’s words about Mingyu:**

“An older brother whose behavior is so cute he doesn’t seem like an older brother.”

“He won’t appreciate me saying this, but he’s the least hyung-like hyung (laughs) He’s very attentive to every member, so he often points out the shortcomings and suggestions on improvement.”

“Mingyu hyung is very good at housework, you know.”

**Q:If Mingyu was a coffee, what would he be?**
**Vernon:** “He’s like a caramel macchiato. He’s a sweet man.”

“He’s handsome and your kind and outgoing personality is also your good point! You don’t have a lot of weak points, but you do nag a lot (laughs).”

**Vernon to Mingyu:**
“I too want to hang out with you, Hyung you go to nice places often, bring me along with you!”

**Mingyu’s words about Vernon:**

“Vernon is a friend-like dongsaeng. There’s a lot of differences between us, so I learn a lot from him.”

“A younger brother who can also enjoy his time alone.”

“He’s got his own style and sense, it makes me wonder what kind of person he’ll be in the future. I’m sure he’ll be a unique person (laughs).”

“He’s logical.”

**Q: If Vernon was a coffee, what would he be?**

**Mingyu:**”More than a type of coffee, he’s a fruit
smoothie. Vernon is a complex character with lots of things going on, so you can’t really compare him to coffee. I guess he’s more of a fruit smoothie. Even if you say ‘strawberry smoothie,’ depending on the store the taste changes right? Like that, you have to drink Vernon to be able to actually taste the complicated and hidden flavors.”

Mingyu indulging his dongsaeng: When he and Vernon (along w/ Hao) ate at a cafe, Mingyu volunteered to pay for some extra dishes Vernon was reluctant to order because of the cost (like they weren’t well-off), and Mingyu and Hao lovingly and happily looking on while the younger Vernon expressed his surprised delight with his mouth full of food.

Also, those two chilling and resting in their hiding place during the Going Ranger episode.

Mingyu and Vernon are a pretty popular duo I think? More so in recent years as I’ve seen many carats pointing out that Vernon acts like a maknae around Mingyu and so mant compilations were made. My own theory is that Vernon finds Mingyu reaction cute and enjoy acting up around him as a result. He also mentioned that Mingyu was the “least hyung like” so maybe he’s super comfortable around Mingyu so his bratty side comes out more. Either way I enjoy seeing their interactions. Maybe it’s because they feel pretty different and quite opposite when it comes to personalities. I don’t know there’s something truly charming about their relationship.

Mingyu is a big social butterfly while Vernon really appreciate his own company. But they can hangout and have fun. Vernon actually said he wanted to go places with Mingyu and lately they’ve been sighted together along with Hao.
