Awww I loved this 101 class with them. The whole gwenchana convo was so fun.
I relate to them so hard because my native language is so nuanced that sometimes I’m just unable to translate certain things to English.
Also, made me realize how much my Korean has improved because I was able to follow the conversation without translations, haha. Kdramas really helped me, that’s for sure!
NOW, can we talk about their styling this era???
Bighit better give the hair/makeup/styling team a big fat bonus this year caz all the looks so far have been IMMACULATE! ❤️🔥

It’s incredibly hard to be funny in two languages and Namjoon is so casually proving that he can do it. They’re all being extra cute here but I can’t stop looking at how endeared Jungkook is by his hyungs. I keep pausing and rewinding because of how adorable everyone is and it’s so distracting that there’s no chance I’m actually going to learn any Korean.

JK is so adorable in this with his hyungs. I loved it when RM said get a Korean boyfriend or girlfriend, and JK nodded along saying ‘we recommend’. Also in the end when he was acting out gwenchana 😂 I loved both Vogue videos so much, and part of the reason is because I feel the members themselves are having fun with it, it just feels very natural and unscripted, RM doesn’t have to do tons of translations, it’s all very relaxed and confident, which I feel is their overall vibe in Chapter 2.0. Not to mention the styling 💕

Korean is so beautiful to my ears. It seems like a difficult language but of course it depends on what is your mother tongue. Both Korean and English seems difficult for the other party to learn (top 5 in difiiculty according to google).
Just some interesting info before people demand them speaking in English during lives
Our original RAPLINE (sorry Cypher Tae) teaching us Korean felt so apt. And the others genuinely following everything Joon said in English, our fluent kings!

I really enjoyed the cultural context they provided in addition to the meanings!!
Like for noonchi they could have just explained the meaning but they dove into the importance in Korean culture. Being Asian i feel noonchi is super big in any collective society. Of course individualistic society people read the room, but there isn’t the same inherent importance to follow through on the read. So it was amazing to listen to them about it all!
