It’s the 8th anniversary of What is Love, Let’s talk about the pre recordings.
– Sana made a mistake in the choreography during Music Bank, and she said it was because of Jeongyeon.
– Even back then, Jihyo told ONCE to cheer while she conducted the Candy Bong.
– One thing Tzuyu often said during that time was, “ONCE, make sure you eat before you go home.”
– What Tzuyu actually said to ONCEs was, “PLEASE EAT BEFORE YOU LEAVE”
– Mina and Sana thanked us, saying our cheers were loud.
– During Music Bank, Jihyo asked Jeongyeon to do the closing ment, but Jeongyeon said, “Mina should do closing this promotion” so Mina ended up wrapping it up.
– It was late spring in April, and Sana had pollen allergies at the time.
– At Show Music Core, Sana mentioned that she was wearing pants, but Jeongyeon suddenly lifted her skirt slightly. Then the two of them suddenly did the Backpack Kid dance together.
– Jihyo asked us if we had eaten, and one ONCE said they had a hamburger. Then Sana said she wanted ONCEs to buy her a hamburger too.
– Dahyun wasn’t in very good condition during this period.
– At MCD, Jihyo said, “Today’s ending is the prettiest ever” and that day, Tzuyu was in charge of the ending. (*180426)
I always wondered at what point the girls realized that this was *the* song they were going to sing for the rest of their career.

A great song and video. I wasn’t lucky enough to hear their first 5 years as it happened, and had to go back an listen to their back log already a fan of their work. But everything from Ooh Ahh to Alcohol Free, was brilliant and endeared them to me even more.
What is Love? is definitely their definitive song and is an ultimate Kpop song too.

Likey was what got me into Twice. Such an earworm and everyone was doing the dance. Then What Is Love came out and absolutely destroyed everyone.
Amazing song and the MV was sheer genius. So many movie references it made you watch it again and again trying to see every call out. Jihyo’s solo will always hit me right in the heart and bring a smile to my face. I love how she’s always changing it on tour and bringing different members with her. Truly a moment of pure love and joy every time I see it.
