  1. Wow…

I knew we were so prepped to destroy the charts, but we truly outdid ourselves. 👏🏽

    I am proud!!!

  2. It’s still pulling like 40M streams a day which is crazy. And Swim is still at #1!! Just incredibly longevity especially since if you compare to how Taylor’s album was doing at this point after release, Arirang is just that little bit higher. It’s a great album and I’m so glad to see it doing well.

  3. Personally, I listen to “2.0” every day, this song is amazing and the choreography is superb. It gives me a fantastic energy boost in the morning.

  4. I’m probably gonna catch hella flack for this, but i personally can’t stand K-pop’s obsession with numbers.

It really turned me off when i first got into bts, it was like there was an expectation for me to stream bts on loop, because that’s what all the other stans were doing.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy for the boys. I just wish this wasn’t such a big expectation in the k-pop fandom. We shouldn’t have to stream albums on loop on separate devices to prove the music we like it worth listening too.

I think a lot of them are streaming by looping songs deliberately to pad the stats from the hardcore BTS fans and its company. You can tell from the Top 50 charts in different countries, where the album is already sinking to very low levels except a few countries. That means most of the streaming is from only a few regions with unusually high stream counts per person.

I think Spotify needs to find ways to differentiate active listening from putting the songs looping to pad stats. It completely distorted the charts.
