Duoteen (47/78) : S.Coups & Wonwoo

*TMI: So this time around, it was quite interesting figuring out which pairing I would post. Usually I can tell by Thursday or Friday with the votes but the suspense remained until the last minute.*

*As a result, I tried to make different lists (posting schedules for this 8th round I mean) with the leading pairings just to get an idea of what will happen in the following weeks. To my horror, I discovered that I had less leeway than I thought to randomize the pairings while avoid repeats (previous pairings) 😅. I kept trying different combinations and ending up with incomplete lists.*

*I ended up making a list all the way up to the 78th post just to be safe. And it was quite the challenge and it took forever but at least that’s done and as long as I stick to it, there won’t be any surprises.*

*All that to say that I’m super sorry but it would be too difficult to keep the whole requested pairing thing moving forward. Like the order needs to be a bit more precise now. For this post, to make it simple since when I did the final check there were 3 pairings with 7 upvotes, I decided to go with the one who reached 7 upvotes first. And the other two will be used for the start for the following rounds. Hope that’s good enough and no one will be be too disappointed. All pairings will come up eventually, we’re more than halfway there, just a little more and you’ll see your favorites.*

A friendship that was obvious for me since day 1. Thanks to their love of gaming, I knew that they spent a lot of time together. It’s always fun to see members sharing a hobby and enjoying it with each other. But not only that, tt was also quite obvious to me how Seungcheol would tend to take care of Wonwoo so naturally. It’s not as if Wonwoo is particularly childish around Seungcheol but with the way Seungcheol takes care of him it feels like Wonwoo and him have more than a year of age between them.

Wonwoo is one of the members who often gets the label of Seungcheol’s favorite. Anyway it’s cute to watch them. I really enjoy their easy going companionship and how well they support each other. When they talk about each other you get the sense of how much they know about each other, their thoughts and concerns and also how much they care about each other’s well-being.

**Seungcheol about Wonwoo:**

“The first time people meet him, they might sense a cold charm of him, but he’s warmer than anyone else.”

“We’re game buddies (laughs) We both have the same likes, so I think I spend time with Wonwoo quite a lot. Whenever I have hard time, he’s always there to support me and 100% understands me. He’s a very close friend.”

“Wonwoo is a delicate friend who understands me even when I don’t say anything and by just looking at me in the eye.”

“I think the members I’ve observed through the years haven’t changed in a big way. Wonwoo says he’s become brighter, but he was always bright he just went through some hard times.”

“Lately our wavelength’s been in much more sync!”

**To Wonwoo:**

“Everyone should be happy, but I hope you can be a little happier than the rest.”

“You have to be happy, always.”

**Wonwoo about Seungcheol**

“He’s someone that is always thinking about the group and has a strong sense of responsibility as a leader. Even when we’re going out to eat, we talk about things like whether we should have Seungkwan appear in more varieties; things that concern each and every member.”

“Roommate (back in 2018). In front of every one (myself included), he stands as a dependable leader. But, when we’re in our room, he’d speak out about his own worries.”

“An always reliable person.”

“S.coups is a reliabale, dependable hyung.”.

“Just having Seungcheol by my side feels safe.”

**Q.Which member of Seventeen do you share your concerns most often?**

**Wonwoo:** “S.Coups hyung. We both like games so we are together a lot. We get to have time to talk often.”

**HHU talking about each other’s good points and weaknesses and what type of coffee they are.**

**Wonwoo:** “Coups hyung is…”

**S.Coups:** “What? Do I really not have any good points?”

**Wonwoo:** “No! Just wait a bit (laughs). Your good point would be your leadership skills, but your weak point would be that you’d go through anything for the members, it’s something I worry about. But at the same time. I really admire him for it.”

**S.Coups:** “I admit that (laughs).

**If S.Coups was a coffee, what would he be?**

**Wonwoo:**”Affogato!”

“If you ask me to explain why, the reason is a little embarrassing…” says Wonwoo shyly. “It’s because he has both the sweetness of ice cream and the strong taste of an espresso.” Mingyu agreed with a firm nod. In his happiness, Coups sank into his chair with his hands covering his cheeks.

I just love these 2 so much. I love their voices and stage presence, both separate and together. As a HHU girlie I will forever rep them.

Because I have anxiety, I vibe with these two the hardest … and when they shine, my heart ascends truly!!
