I still remember waiting for their Vlive debut showcase for Whistle and Boombayah, fast forward to 9 years I’m still jumping and bopping whenever I hear a BP song. Maybe this is coming from Western eyes, but I know some would say 9 years? 33 (group) songs? But overall what they’ve achieved has been amazing. Yes it’s 33 songs, in a span of 9 years but how many broke record streams and views. Over half of their catalog have been successful in industry eyes. In America, it’s the land of the ADHD, one hit wonders, artists are famous for that one song or two. 15 second tiktok clip. Song on repeat for the summer, and you never hear from them again. BP has been hit after hit after hit no matter how much time has passed between songs. So when people are saying they sing the same songs, yes. BANGERS. They have so many. It’s no different then when artists perform their top 3-5 songs, and BP has so many. They’re still relevant without having to change who they are, they grew, not changed. And this isn’t even talking about what they achieved as soloist. Kpop standard, they survived and thrived. The 7 year curse, or how cruel the industry and knetizens can be. I am so proud of them. They seem happy and healthy and that’s what matters.
