  1. Y’all, if the honmoon wasn’t sealed before, it is now. Never in my life would I have expected a Sony animated K-pop movie to release a song that would become one of the biggest hits of the year. What a wild timeline we live in. With all the chaos that’s happening in the world right now, this gives me so much joy.

    We are GOLDEN!

It’s wild to think that if this pattern’s anything to go by we’ll have a song bigger than Golden in less than 3 years.

now to hit #1 on Billboard Hot 100

🎶WE’RE GOING UP, UP, UP IT’S OUR MOMENT🎶

  4. The sheer breadth and magnitude of this movie’s success is more fantastical than any amount of demon hunting could possibly convey. It’s the new PAK record-holder, it’s the soon-to-be most-watched movie on Netflix, it’s expected to be #1 on the Billboard Hot 100… Like, what? This movie and its soundtrack have transcended pretty much every possible expectation you could have for them.

The trajectory of this song has been insane. It’s all my students sing at school, it’s the number one popular song at noraebang’s. It is everywhere in Korea.

I’m thrilled that we’re finally out of the elevator music era. Well deserved.

    DESERVEDDD

can’t stand kpop stans saying “the group is not real!!” as if the WOMEN singing this song are made of our imagination

  8. The crazy thing if they secured No. 1 in Youtube Weekly again for next week, Golden could break 1,000 PAKs if none of the big releases this month could overtake it. Maybe only Lim Young Woong could end the PAKs at the end of this month.

  9. I think “Golden” has already become the 2025 Song of The Year for 2025. We still have 4.5 months left this year but I don’t think there will be an artist releasing something as big and as culturally influential as “Golden”.

Screw it. This is probably the front runner for Song of the Year at this point. It has the objective success and it has had such an insane impact on the KPop world since it released. I just don’t know if it’s eligible though?

Absolutely wild and amazing trajectory. So happy for EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami

  12. What I love is how it kind of came out of nowhere and became so successful. A true sleeper hit.

  13. EJAE and TBL production team having the summer of their lives spearheaded by this song

EJAE was already working with high-profile talent in the industry before, but I’d imagine basically every door for production and songwriting opportunities and projects are open for her now.

TBL producers have absolutely taken over the domestic charts. At the time of this comment, 6 of the top 10 songs on Melon (including the current top 4) have TBL producer credits and now they can also say they worked on the song that has the most PAKs

  14. This song (and the movie) are also transcending fandoms. Because of its art style, I see a tremendous amount of artwork and merch related to it even at anime conventions. It’s broadly popular and also popular among niche groups.

Ditto was the song that got me into K-Pop. I’m sure Golden is that song for many, especially with it’s truly global reach with Netflix and potentially atop (#1) the Billboard Hot 100 in the US for the first time this upcoming week.

Congratulations Golden and the KPOP Demon Hunters team! This is huge!!

It’s surprising to me how some people are shocked by this. The search for “kpop” has never reached such a peak since Gangnam Style. This movie has introduced people to kpop than any recent idol or group has in the past decade.

PAK used to be something when there were like 12+ different charts, but now there are only a few of them with fewer unique listeners.

  18. someone said before that it was already halfway through the year and we havent really had any kpop hit to actually take off in mainstream since apt and it’s just so wild that golden happened lol
