Wonder if we’ll see renewal as a group, but solos still negotiating or signing elsewhere
could be that they don’t want to reveal the renewal details yet, hopefully positive given the tour seems like it’ll continue for a while and we are still getting continued albums
It’s impossible for them not to renew as a group. The only question now is individually. My selfish self wants them to renew individually with JYP or at least the same agency. I’m not yet ready to see TWICE slowing down or seeing less of them together.
Im sure they will renew as a group. Twice is too profitable and their future solo careers are not yet stable to free themselves from the twice brand. But I’m hoping they dont renew individually. JYPE is not handling their solos well.
I can see all of them renewing for group but some going their own ways for individual activities. Like Dahyun and Tzuyu.
3mix will 100% renew. MiSaMo are a wildcard. But tbh between these three I can only see Mina or Sana(or both) leaving. Momo is definitely staying. No other company would treat her as well as JYPE does.
Dahyun is very serious about acting so with a better offer somewhere else I can see her leaving for acting projects. Tzuyu can be influenced by her and also leave considering how close they are and that her individual brand isn’t really prioritized at JYPE.
They’re most likely going the BP/Mamamoo route after this where they renew for group activities but venture out for solo opportunities. MISAMO may re-up for specific sub-unit activities since they’re particular to Japan’s market.
They’ll probably continue as a group, but maybe some of them will go elsewhere for solo work? I would hope they’d also negotiate for even more creative freedom, better promotion/marketing or maybe even stock in the company. Jihyo basically gave her whole life to that company, and if deserves to get a share of the profits it’s definitely her.
Seemingly, seeing how well other idols are doing on their own under different labels (like BP and RV), it’s very likely they will pursue different career paths in the future. Whatever they decide, I will always love them and wish them the best.

This is just JYPE edging tactic
Man, think about it. These girls are young, rich, beautiful and famous. If anything, they want more options to pursue other projects. None of these girls are even in their 30’s yet. I would be totally surprised if they did not all renew. But they have some serious bargaining power. They are super money makers and they can tell JYP what they want to do. They are workhorses but maybe they want to take more time off, or do more single projects. They all care too much about each other to split up now.

I think they’ll renew across the board. I see some comparisons in the comments, to red velvet and mamamoo and blackpink. But I think just looking at twices’ career as a group and also individually, they’re not really comparable imo…
If I’m being completely honest…they’ll all renew. I mean, this is twice! The nations girl group? Million record selling group? Girl group with the most music show wins? Twice OWNS JYPE. If the company doesn’t meet their standards, twice will ask for a better contract or walk. The company can’t afford that.
Seeing lots of comparison to how other senior girl groups ended up, but you have to take note that TWICE is in a vastly different situation, financially and career progression wise. Its not like they’re slowing down in their careers and they want out to do their own thing. Each time during recontract years there is always doom and gloom.
I’m not saying that it may never happen, but what im saying is comparing it directly to their peers is not an equal sense. We have to view it on what we see they want right now. Like for example, if i’ll bet on it, probably Dahyun if she wants to really pursue acting and focus on it. she might want to open up her schedule more to acting gigs rather than touring. Chae might want to go on and produce her own stuff(might be unlikely since she’ll be releasing her own solo under JYP now). so something like those things.
3MIX i have every faith they will not leave JYP until they retire. MISAMO is very strong in Japan and with their brand deals. i doubt JYP lets that go. Tzuyu, now that im not sure, but i dont see her going solo on her own right now.
