Aw man, unfortunately after the first listen I’m not really feeling it. A decent summer song but not my kind of music.

I liked it first listen, I didn’t like Go first listen but now I’m obsessed with it! A bit of a different sound from Go, more fun vibe

I like the pop rock influence for the song. It reminds me of Aidan Bissett’s material, another upcoming artist that also caters to Get Z.
I’m glad CORTIS isn’t sticking to one genre for their releases.

Was fully expecting this to be very hiphop/rap but it’s actually giving Oasis/Goo Goo Dolls gen z version. Very curious as to what this album is actually going to sound like.
I like it. It’s very much the kind of music I listen to outside of kpop. The video was stunning. And another one take video. Is that going to be a recurring theme?
maadbutterfly on
I can’t watch the video right now, but the song sounds very much like Brockhampton to me. While GO! sounds like Travis Scott / Don Toliver. As someone who likes hip hop, I’m interested in hearing more of their music, but they don’t sound like kpop at all so I’m not sure if most kpop fans will vibe with their stuff
Yoonbeomie on
Very unexpected, liked it better than go!

This song is kind of like a second pre-release ig, because the album is coming in September.

After Travis Scott, they went Sum41/Simple plan lol

This felt very knock-off Oasis to me. I get what it was trying to do, but it fell *really* flat to me. These kinda songs need a really compelling vocal performance and they simply didn’t bring it for me.
The video was fun though. Their identity as a group seems to revolve around them being “fresh”, but I hope their freshness actually translates into something more cohesive when we get to hear the full project.
I liked “GO!” though. It grew on me a lot. I think that Travis Scott/Don Toliver/A$AP Rocky style still has gas left in the tank for them to build on.
Acrobatic_While9234 on
They targeting “male fans” they said lol i knew there was no way hybe debuted a heavy based hip hop group when they are targeting a global fanbase with their groups
I don’t know what go! and this song have in common musically beyond “free spirited teens having fun” vibes
Tho I’d not draw conclusions about their music because probably they experiment with different sounds with each comeback like the rest of hybe groups
airneanach on
This didn’t hit as hard GO! did for me personally but it was still a strong song and showed a different side of the members so I can see why it was the second song/video to be dropped! Video is sick as well honestly, the setting and concept are so simple but stunning and I love the styling
I’m overall really loving the visual/creative direction so far, it’s so impressive to me how involved the members are in that aspect
Looking forward to the other 3 songs/videos from them!

well, I didn’t expect this after Go! looks like they will really keep coloring outside the lines 🤣
reminds me so much of the early 00’s band songs. kind of like teenage dirtbag with some nostalgic riffs instead of heavily leaning on rock, if it makes sense. it’s not for me but interesting to see a kpop take on it!
edit: looks like this was also filmed in one take like their Go! conceptual performance film.
KickSnareScholar on
Now I am clueless about how the EP would sound. I like this song, but ‘Go’ is fav so far
PuzzleheadedPin1006 on
So their conceptual performance films are all gonna be one takes with choreo 👀 cool!
The song’s too chanty and shouty for my taste, but Go grew on me so much that I’m gonna reserve judgement on this.
Their visuals remind me a lot of TXT and how I had so much trouble distinguishing between them initially. But they’re all very handsome young boys for sure!

Very reminiscent of the late 90s, early 00s boy bands I grew up watching on MTV. I like their sound and this video in particular. It’s fresh and breezy in a way that appeals to me.
I would wager Cortis have their sights on global markets. And from what I have seen, it just might work.

So will they have an mv for this song? The full album will be released next month so im expecting an mv for this song as well because they advertise it as lead single
Kinda weird if lead single doesn’t have an mv tho🤷🏻♀️

Oh I’m liking this! Like what others have said this feels late 90s/early 2000s inspired & I will admit that era of pop rock influence is one of my favourite trends right now.
Honestly while I just though Go was okay, Im glad all 3 bighit groups have had distinct identities from one another with their debuts. It’s actually kinda fascinating seeing the difference between No More Dream, Crown and Go/What You Want

I need to see what the rest of the album is like lol, nonetheless it was an enjoyable performance.
It really is Cortis because I feel out of the loop, yet intrigued for what is to come.

I like this better than “Go” but I feel like apart from the chorus, the rest of the song was not super interesting. I feel like this group is being marketed towards the global kpop audience instead of the Korean market. I’m curious to hear what their album will sound like though. They seem quite talented!
blanketkicks on
sadly, it’s another “meh” from me. there’s some interesting elements here: especially the guitar riff + the echoey chant parts, which reminded me of the group / band laundry day. but similarly to GO i feel like it’s missing something, and the MV being so bare bones too is adding to that. maybe teezo will bring more to the track with the english version.

Definitely reminds me of music I listen to as a teen in the late 90’s early 2000’s so is definitely a song I can vibe with!!! So far two different styles of songs and I can appreciate a variety and different styles. I like how they are not putting out that same old Kpop sound but doing something different to appeal to different audiences. Also them being very hands on with their debut is also a plus.

I love this, such a fun and nostalgic sound. Whoever is doing the “this is what we want” ad libs during the post-chorus in the latter half is killing it. I liked GO! too, looking forward to their album now

I like this sound a lot, I’m not really tuned into this group so I’m a bit confused about when their debut date is. No title track MV on debut is kind of unusual? But regardless, this is the kind of song I can see on my playlist. I’m still not sure about Go, I’ll wait until I can listen to it on Spotify.

I like the instrumental a whole lot better than their first song but the rest of the melody just feels very lacklustre. The chanty parts remind me of NCT for some reason. Smelling like a teen is a very unserious lyric.
