  1. According to the article,

    >On September 16, the Community Chest of Korea (Chairman Kim Byung-jun) announced that SEVENTEEN member Hoshi (real name Kwon Soon-young) had donated 100 million KRW to fund the construction of a public school in Ndola, Zambia.

    >This marks his second large-scale overseas donation, as earlier in 2024, Hoshi had contributed 100 million KRW to support the building of the Laos National Orphanage School. With this new donation, he is helping to improve educational environments abroad once again.

    >The new school will serve local elementary students from kindergarten through 7th grade, with more than 350 children enrolled. Until now, the school had only two classrooms, forcing multiple grades to share the same space under extremely poor conditions.

    >Moved by this grim reality, Hoshi and his parents decided, (through the Love Fruit Gyeonggi Northern branch, in cooperation with the Church of the Nazarene Zambia Mission and Life of the Children) to build two new buildings with five classrooms and to remodel the existing facilities, ensuring a more stable environment for learning.

    >Hoshi shared, *“I want to offer even a little strength and encouragement to children growing up in difficult environments. My hope is that they can grow up healthier in their new classrooms.”*

    >Meanwhile, Hoshi became the 2,655th member of the “Honor Society,” a group of major individual donors contributing over 100 million KRW, after his donation in 2021. He has also been active in spreading positive influence, serving as a UNESCO Youth Goodwill Ambassador alongside SEVENTEEN members.

    >On September 16, Hoshi has began his military service as an active-duty soldier.
