some context that isnt provided here: REM was/is in the middle of a lawsuit with Dabin as well.

  2. Thats so awful 😔

I’m not a huge fan of DPR Ian, but I saw a few of the crash out tweets and I hope he’s in a place where he can step back, breathe, and heal. That’s a horrible situation to end up in and I hope he knows he’s got loving fans everywhere willing to support him and give him the privacy he needs

I wish him the best and I hope he has people he can rely on for support and help 🩵

    (/sincere)

(Added tone tag because everything I say is coming out condescending and I don’t know why. I don’t want people to misread what I said as a drag)

i’m pretty stingy with spending money on going to shows, because of where i live it’s a bit of an ordeal. christian is one of the few artists that i was willing to carve out time and money without hesitation to go see; his art is *incredible.* the music industry has a real big problem with people who contribute nothing to art getting to own the spoils, and the added layer here of it being someone christian trusted is just… it’s fucking devastating. this shouldn’t happen to anyone, but it feels even worse when it happens to someone who works as hard as christian and who delivers such an incredible output.

this is situation that requires money to dig himself out of, and obviously because of this situation he doesn’t have that money. i hope someone helps him. everything about this is rancid.

  4. There was a tweet that seem to have implied Live forgave Scott and Ian seems pissed af about it.

  5. I know people will gawk for the tea and drama of this. I just want to say behind all of this is just a person who has been very open about his mental health. I don’t know all of what’s going on and valid reasons aside he’s clearly in a lot of distress.

I just hope he’s okay. He’s an incredible talent that is rare to come across. That should be nurtured not taken advantage of. Bambam and Jackson have both been really outspoken about people taking advantage of you and pretending to be supportive. I just want artists to be able to thrive and do what they do best not this shit.

I’m hoping Ian has a strong support system around him now, so that something like this doesn’t happen again. Wishing him the power to overcome this shitty situation that other people have put him through!✊

  7. I hope he’s doing okay, he’s already been through so much as it is. It’s hard to trust when you’ve been hurt so much but I really hope he has a strong support system behind him. He really seems like a nice and genuine person and it sucks to see that even after everything he went through before during his idol career, he still has to endure more pain in the current day. I wish him strength!

  8. He edits/VFX, directs, creates concepts, produces, etc. and got paid less in 10 years than what a secretary made in 1? Yikes. DPR REM sounds like an ass.

Damn I’m a huge fan of this crew, never thought there were problems going on behind the scenes, hope the best for him!

  10. I really loved DPR the first few years, their videos were simple but beautifully crafted with great cinematography, amazing warm and catchy hip hop beats, Dabin on vocals was slaying, was always curious what happened to the group I even enjoyed their BTS docuseries they released. Music industry seems like such a mess, always so much chaos and fighting behind the scenes even if they hide it well, such a bummer to see it play out like this yet again. They always said DPR was a family, but I didn’t think they meant like the families that fight and don’t talk to each other lol

I really feel for Ian. As someone with DID myself, I know how destabilising this is going to be for him. I am hoping and praying he has solid people around him to help.
