>Talking about taking on the job of Taoyuan Tourism Ambassador, Shuhua Yeh asked with a full smile and full of enthusiasm, “Who do you think is the most suitable person to be the Taoyuan Tourism Ambassador? Of course it’s me!” She described her feelings when she received the invitation from her hometown Taoyuan, “When it was confirmed that I would come to Taoyuan as a Tourism Ambassador, I felt very happy, lucky and honored to be invited! >Even though fans and online profiles all claim Shuhua is from Yangmei, Taoyuan, she diligently explained where her true hometown is and what makes it so special. “As a Taoyuan tourism ambassador, of course I have to first introduce where I’m from. Everyone tends to associate me with Yangmei, but to be more precise, I grew up in Fugang, which is a little further out in Yangmei. My hometown is simple, pure, and beautiful, with a strong sense of human warmth and a peaceful, clean atmosphere. I highly recommend everyone visit Fugang when they come to Taoyuan, and remember to join me in experiencing Taoyuan Shu-style.”
>As a tourism ambassador, Shuhua and the filming crew spent at least two full days in Taoyuan. The team and she enjoyed a mix of food and fun while working, creating a joyful atmosphere. Shuhua also shared her favorite Shu-style spots throughout the filming process. “Because I’ve been touring Korea and overseas for a long time, even when I’m home, I’m always in and out of a rush. But this time, as a Taoyuan tourism ambassador, I was truly amazed by many of Taoyuan’s attractions while filming the commercial. They’re somewhat different from my childhood memories of Taoyuan. For example, the quaint old houses on Daxi Old Street, the natural beauty of Xiaowulai, the hipster vibe of the Hengshan Calligraphy Art Museum, and so many of my favorite Taoyuan delicacies. I highly recommend that travelers from all over the world visit Taoyuan. You can also look forward to hearing what local Taoyuan delicacies I tried when the commercial airs!”
>The Taoyuan City Government’s Tourism and Travel Bureau stated that they are honored to have Shuhua, the daughter of Taoyuan, return to Taoyuan as a tourism ambassador this year. In her unique Shu-style, she visited Taoyuan attractions and showcased the sensibility of Taoyuan. From sharing the local sensibilities of her hometown, Tomioka, and popular Taoyuan attractions to exploring the diverse charm of Taoyuan cuisine, Shuhua connected the beauty and stories of her hometown in a relatable way. She is more than just an idol; she is Taoyuan’s most sincere spokesperson.
