  1. I am really not overly familiar with ghost9. I know Prince from tik tok and YouTube and I have their songs awesome day and ruckus playlisted but I never got round to listening to their discography.

But the other day I was on Pinterest and I saw a picture of one of the members shin with his long hair in a white suit and I didn’t know who he was but it made me look the image up and find out.

It’s sad that the group has so much talent and goes unrecognised.

I know a lot of people hate on the company and a lot of it is justified but it’s worth remembering that ghost9 belong to a whole cohort of kpop groups that debuted as the pandemic hit.

Suddenly all the money companies sunk into debuts and promotions was wasted as lockdown caused it all to be cancelled. A lot of companies went bust as they couldn’t pay their initial investors back.

The ones that survived struggled to build a fan base as they couldn’t meet fans or perform for them and struggled to make money. By the time lockdown ended two years later it was really difficult for them to catch international fans interest as they were seen as old hat and people wanted to follow the newer groups instead.

I think people often forget to factor the pandemic in when talking about groups with limited success or none at all.
