Wow its been such a bad year for concerts particularly for smaller groups and its kind of getting to the point where there is a cascade effect. So many groups have cancelled shows that people now aren’t buying tickets if they would need to travel to shows out of fear they will cancel (leaving them out of money for travel and hotel) which in turn is causing more cancelations and the cycle repeats. Large groups seem to be mostly avoiding this for now (occasional show cancellations but almost all dates going ahead) but kpop companies and those with smaller groups in particular need to realize the kpop boom is over and start making adjustments accordingly.

I actually want a new flair called “Tour Cancellation” in addition to the flair “Event/Tour News”. It’s so hard to keep track of everything now!
Obv this would be only a temporary measure, hopefully the touring acts stabilize four years from now.

Does anybody local know if they booked too huge of a venue or tickets were too expensive? I doubt they would have a visa issue

Wonder what the issue was. I went to them the first time they came just because not many people come to Brisbane but I wasn’t interested in going a second time within 2 years.

For anyone curious, their current international booking middle man is super shady and is the reason their US tour was also cancelled. *Allegedly* they tried to charge an obscene amount of money from Konnect’d, who were incredibly tiny at the time (like we’re talking tens of thousands of dollars PER SHOW as upfront appearance fees from the touring company) and demanded large venues that KARD would realistically never be able to sell even half of, let alone sell out. There’s a reason every one of KARD’s international touring attempts has fallen through like this, and it’s bc their middle man booking agency is setting everyone but themselves up to fail. I couldn’t tell you why their company is still working with this booking agency, and I don’t know how much involvement KARD have in that decision themselves, but it’s a rough situation to be in. This is one scenario where I can genuinely almost guarantee that visas had nothing to do with it.
