The modal mixture between the verses and the pre-chorus/chorus kind of throws me off; I think I would have preferred if the pre-chorus and chorus stayed in the same mode as the verses. They sound more minor-y and it fits with the 80s vibe/instrumentation of the song, whereas the pre-chorus and chorus sound more major-y, and their brighter/hopeful vibe clashes a bit with the more melancholic verses. 🧐
As far as songs titled ‘baby blue’ that came out this year go, I still prefer NCT WISH’s. 😅 But this one isn’t bad either!

You really can’t go wrong with a Monsta X English song. The yearning, beautiful men, and beautiful voices with a super catchy song that sounds like an 80’s song. I really love how they highlighted how sweet and unique all of their voices are.
