sadly as a flover i feel like it’s kinda underwhelming :/ but I’m just gonna take this as a prelude to something even greater.

Nice, I like the concept of this, it’s a pleasant slow groove. Fellow flover, pretty excited for these directions with the current/former members of fromis_9, hopefully we still get regularly releases next year or so.

banger. Maybe it will not appeal to the usual fromis fanbase, but a banger nonetheless.

Album Introduction from Melon (translated with gemini)
*The first Seoyeon, the second Seoyeon, the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth Seoyeon.*
*All of them can be me, and while they may each appear different, even so, I can reveal myself, and I love them all.*
*I hope no one will be afraid to face and reveal themselves.*
*Are you afraid to be naked?*
*Are you afraid of being exposed?*

Might be biased, but I like it. Based on her choice of cover songs over the years, I figured her solo career would focus on R&B and slow jamz, and this track fits her vibe.
I think the MV (while being pure cinema with the one-shot hallway sequence) kinda detracts from the song; it plays like a statement of intent and makes Naked *feel* slower and ponderous. I had a better time listening to the track on its own, could really focus on her vocals that way. She sounds great as always.
I got nothing on the weirdly elided English lyrics though, lol.

lyrics aside, i actually really love this.
kpop songs that are mostly in korean having some clunky english can be fun but when the entire song is in english or has long english sections, i really don’t understand why all the “self-producing” idols refuse to hire english lyricists to help them out. it’s a pattern i’ve noticed across the board, from woozi to soyeon to now seoyeon. it sadly does break your immersion a little, especially if the song is supposed to be serious and emotional.
