I admire Jeongyeon taking the risk of having this song despite Country genre isn't a cup of tea by most music listeners out there. It's also pretty rare in K-Pop industry to have a sound like this.
-
This is what I like about her and Chaeyoung being the members of TWICE who isn't afraid of showing their fascinating taste of what kind music they prefer.
-
Knowing its country, its so soothing to hear the guitar, the tapping sounds, and idk if I'm correct but was that harmonica playing for the rhythm? Anyways, it's just so good to vibe along with that makes your body go yeehaw.
-
Even the lyrics of the song fits the genre.
-
There were some who questioned Jeongyeon for taking this kind of song as her solo but I didn't doubt at all. Right at the first listen her voice just fits perfectly on the genre. That's just how good she is.
6.This being catchy yet distinct at the same time for its sound compared to the pop-ish, heavy beat sound the other members have chosen.
-
My favorite part of the song was simply the chorus by how she sang its tune in a pattern. (La la la, la la la, la la la la la laaaa~). It really gives off as a perfect song for a movie set in the wild wild west where the protag is victorious in the end and the bar holds a celebration with him/her.
-
I don't know if I'm right but I like the difference of having the lowest chord in the guitar as transition for the three choruses. At first it took like three plucks to give it a bit of like a 1,2,3 count while in the second, it felt faster. Oh, and also that bridge was superb too.
-
This is gonna be awesome to see if she performs this in some parts of US, especially where folks love this genre.
-
Not only this felt so good as a comforting song but having types of songs like this always gives off a breathe of a fresh air, especially for a group like TWICE who is always recognized for upbeat songs.
